Shane put his headphones on listening to Fire n Gold by Bea Miller. He got on his skateboard and skated into the bowl. He like to come early because no one was here...just how he liked it. He did an ollie and then a manual. He was trying to perfect his 360 nollie but kept failing at it. He tried it one more time and he fell. He stayed on the ground and looked up towards the sky.
((I just had a poptart :D))
She was hidden by everything. She couldn't really see anyone. She was focused on trying to do her 540 flip. So far she had fallen twice and almost killed herself. But this was more of a hobby to her. Albeny looked around and then sighed as she stood up and tried again. Forget it, she sucked and was never going to get it just right. She had done it a few times, but i seemed a little sloppy to her. She kept somehow turning them into grape flips. She groaned.

Shane sighed. Nollie. Not that hard. He pulled off his headphones to hear another skateboard against the concrete. This early. No one was ever here this early expect for him. He stood up and picked up his skateboard and went to the top of the bowl. A girl was skating on the other side. He couldn't see what she was doing but wanted to find out. He skated around the bowl to get a glimpse of her and skated back inside so she wouldn't realize he was there.
((I LOVE POPTARTS))
((I LOVE POPTARTS))
((YAY!))
She took a deep breath and then gave up. She shook her head and then started again, but this time she was going to do a hardflip. She closed her eyes for a moment and then went down. She was good at hardflips right? She had done it a million times! She could do it perfectly. Maybe she was tired, but she had to go a second time before finally deciding that she had done it as perfect as it was going to get. She tried to simplify things as much as possible. She shouldn't have been doing any of these, she shouldn't even be running anymore, but who cares? No one was here.

Shane gave up on trying to figure out what she was doing and went back to practicing his trick. He skated outside of the bowl to a rail. He did a kick flip and did a grind on the rail. Then he tried to do a 360 nollie and fell, his skateboard rolled over to the girl. He stood up quickly and went to retrieve it. "I'm sorry, so sorry. Sorry." He said to her.
((What kind?))
((What kind?))
She hadn't even noticed the boy until she saw the skateboard and he spoke. She looked at him and then stopped and jumped off of her own. "Nah its fine." She waved him off and then picked up her skateboard. She should have known that someone was here. That was her mistake. She really wished she had been alone, but she hadn't been. She should have did a scan of the area before she started.
((The poptart?))
((The poptart?))
((Yeah))
He grabbed his skateboard and nodded. "Sorry." He said one last time before skating away. He went up a half pipe then back down to get some speed. He did a McTwist off a ramp that was named after his idle Mike McGrill. Then tried the nollie again. He landed it. He smiled for the first time in forever.

((Strawberry!!!!))
"For what?" She asked herself as she shook her head. She sat down and then watched the boy for a moment before taking out her pills. She felt the pain coming back quicker than before so she really hoped that it was just because she had been moving to much. She picked up her skateboard and then started on her 540 flip again, this time, she was going to make it!

He didn't hear her. He sat down on the edge of the bowl and just kept smiling. He hadn't smiled this much after his parents died. He put his headphones on and watched the girl do her trick. He didn't understand what she was doing. It looked like a 360 but she just kept going like she was trying to do a 540. He was surprised not many people were even good enough to try a 540 but she tried. Shane already knew he was good at it because it was apart of the McTwist.

She groaned a bit and gave up. Forget it! She was giving up. She sat down again, this was her giving up and not caring. She should have kept trying, but no, she sucked. She was just going to stick with her hardflip and hope that she didn't get herself hurt. She actually wasn't supposed to be out here. Heck, she wasn't even supposed to be moving as much as she was, but she had to, it was her instinct. She took a deep breath and then sipped her water with a small sigh.
((Ewwww))
((Ewwww))
Shane watched the girl sit down. Then gave her a weird look. Did she give up? No there was no giving up. He did something that he had never done before...spoke up. The first time he said it it sounded like he was speaking a different language. He tried again louder and clearer this time. "You should move you front foot forward more." He took a deep breath and hoped she didn't get mad at him.
((What that's the best kind))

Was he talking to her? She gave him a sideways glance and then frowned, "What do you mean?" She asked curiously. Maybe he wasn't talking to her, but no one else was here so he had to be talking to her, unless he was seeing people, but that would just make him crazy... Or insane... There is a difference!
((Never tried it))
((Never tried it))
He looked at her. "Um your front foot keeps moving backwards when your in the air. That's why it looks a little sloppy. Your trying to do a 540 right?" He asked from the top of the bowl. He swallowed. "Sorry I'm just observing, ignore me." He nodded and looked at his shoes.
((WHAT? Oh god go to your local store and ask for them immediately.))
((WHAT? Oh god go to your local store and ask for them immediately.))
She looked at him for a moment, "I know a person who is an observer." She told him as she stood up. "What's you name?" She wondered as she set her skateboard down. It wouldn't kill her to try it one more time right? Well it might... But she wasn't going to focus on that. She shook the thoughts out of her head and then looked at the boy again, waiting for an answer.
((G. And I'm a hermit))

"Uh Shane. My name is Shane. What about you?" He said. As he got back onto his board and went around the bowl a couple times. He switched his stance from goofy to regular. Then stopped. He rubbed his arm nervously.
"Hello Shane." She said as she stood on her board and then stood like she was preparing to do her 540 flip. She didn't find anything wrong with the stance, but then again, she kept failing. "What were you saying about my foot Shane?" She asked him as she turned to face him. "You nervous about something?"

((Why sorry? And I don't know!))
((Why sorry? And I don't know!))
"Uh your back foot. Whenever you go up you move it down your board towards back foot. Maybe it's a habit or something. But try and keep your feet wide. Like this." He said and did and 540 ollie. He kept his feet wide and landed smoothly. Then switched his stance back. He knew that goofy stance isn't for tricks but he liked it anyways it was just tiring switching his stances back and forth.
((Never mind))
((Never mind))
She looked at him, "Well there's not harm in trying." She had already made up her mind that she was going to give up, but she would try, just one time. She bit her lip and then took a deep breath before trying the 540. She took the kids advise and tried to keep her feet wide. Then she landed. It took her a moment, but then she realized that she had not failed. She let out a soft chuckle.
((Okay))
((Okay))
He smiled slightly. Then when back to his usual straight face. "Good job...I'm sorry I didn't catch your name." He said and rubbed his arm again. He moved his fingers. He was always moving a body part. Shane felt his toes moving up and down in his sneakers. It happened more when he was nervous...like always.
"I didn't give to you." She reminded him as she sat back down. She had to admit, she was impressed with the kid. He seemed to know what he was talking about, so that was something. Now there was the manner of her name. Not many people knew her name. She didn't know why, but she just never gave people her real name. It was weird. "I'm Freedom. So.. Are you nervous about something kid?"
"Freedom...I like it." He said. Then he stopped rubbing his arm. "Oh uh that's just a habit." Shane lied and tried to stop his toes and his fingers but it was impossible. It came with ADHD as the doctors said. He hated it. It also came with anxiety and limited attention which was worse. He picked his skateboard up and looked back towards his shoes.
"Thank you. Nice to meet you." She frowned and then studied him. She wondered why he kept looking at the ground. "Anyway, thanks for the help, it really did make a difference." She said slowly, trying to make him look up.
He nodded slowly and shifted his weight from one leg to the other nervously. "Nice to meet you too and no problem." He swallowed again. He tried to seem really interested in his shoes. He rubbed his arm again awkwardly.
"Okay... Did your shoes just find a cure for cancer?" She asked with her brows furrowing. She was really bothered that he wouldn't look at her. She didn't know why, she just wondered what was so interesting about his shoes! She bit her lip.
"Um no sorry." He looked up for a second. Then looked around. It was hard for him to focus on one thing especially people. He looked at the sky and the skatepark where more skaters were starting to fill in. He usually would have left by now. He moved his toes around again.
She looked at him for a second and then quickly scanned him from down to up. Simon had taught her that, she had no idea where he learned it from, but she had picked up on a few things. He seemed to always be moving, so either he was afraid a bomb would go off, of he had ADHD, or something like that. She didn't know if she was right, but she wouldn't ask. "Nah its fine, you seem to say sorry alot kid."
Shane looked towards the entrance of the park. "Uh sorry. It's just my...sorry." He looked at her quickly. She seemed to be studying him. He was very good at reading faces. He chewed his lip nervously then looked back at his shoes. Shane wishes he had some gum on him. It always helped.
"How about some coffee?" She suggested as she finished her scan. "Black, with nothing, just coffee grounds. Did you ever try that?" She wondered. "And stop saying sorry, there's nothing to be sorry about, so its a little pointless." Well she got him to look at her, but only for half of a second.
Shane swallowed "Okay. I've never had coffee before." He hoped it didn't make anything worse. He nodded. Anything to get out of the skate park as more skaters filled in. He picked up his skateboard and moved his headphones to his neck. "Where is the nearest coffee shop?"
She bit her lip again, "Just black coffee. Really no has ever suggested that to you?" She frowned a bit and then put her bag over her shoulder, "I don't really know." She said as she looked around. She put her pills in her bag and then took another sip of her water.
He picked up his backpack and slung it over one shoulder. He shook his head. "No, no one has ever suggested that to me." Shane said. He never had anyone to suggest that to him. "Uh I think there is a cafe not far from here." He put his skateboard down again and skated towards the entrance. "Follow me." He nodded.
Really? Black coffee was supposed to help ADHD kids, but she didn't say that. She nodded and then walked over to him, "Okay then. I don't really know my way around here, but hopefully you do."
Shane nodded, "Yeah this is my second year at Lakewood Academy. Do you go to Lakewood?" Shane said putting a hand through his hair. He bit the inside of his cheek. He did a quick ollie on his skateboard. He knew the area very well.
"Yeah. I think that's the name of the school." Simon's parents got annoyed by her after he left so now she was here. "I got here a few months ago." She told Shane as she just walked after him
"Oh okay." He nodded. "Uh c'mon the cafe isn't far." He said and got of his skateboard. He looked back down at his shoes and started to walked to the cafe which was a few blocks away.
((I'll post in the cafe))

((Okay))
Again with the shoes! They weren't all that interesting as he was making them out to be! She sighed and then followed him. She looked inside her bag and then shook her head

Emma was at the top of the ramp with her headphones in listening to her music mix. She skated down and did a few trixs.
Nikki sat on the top of the stone stairs that lead out of the park , while sipping her juice box and watching the others skate, doing jumps and tricks. She didn't know exactly how to skate, she could only balance herself on the board, but she was so bored just sitting there, feeling useless. Maybe I'll give it a try, Nikki thought to herself. She quickly jumped up, grabbing her skateboard by her side, and went to the first ramp she saw, one with a girl who looked already professional skateboarder doing tricks. "Hi!" Nikki greeted the girl, even though the girl probably didn't hear her; she had headphones on.
Emma stoped looked at the girl with a smiled and took her headphones off. "Oh hey." She said.
