Sept. Monthly Book Discussion - Fatal Affair (Fatal #1) by Marie Force - Spoiler Zone
Thank you for all your recs guys. I'll try reading this. I've been catching up with all the In Death Series. :)
I read the novella - it's a great short, hot story. Great introduction to Sam & Nick. Glad I read this before jumping into Fatal Affair...which I'm now starting.
Finished. I'll hold my thoughts until every one finishes, & it becomes a spoiler zone on the 15th. Good read! I enjoyed it.
I am loving Nick and Sam. So glad I read the novella first. With so many references to their "night", it was good to have the background story.

I thought so too, Sheri.

So glad you're reading it with us, Martha! Be sure to stop back in to discuss. I really enjoyed it & will continue the series. This will become a spoiler zone on the 15th.
Okay, so I accidentally (kind of) started this book today and now I find it is a Monthly Book discussion. Must be fated. Lol
Bookbub emailed me with the recommendation because Rosrke is one of my book boyfriends lol. So tgdn I looked it up on GR and guess who had already rated it? You know I can't resist books you guys rate high.
I really had it and the reason wrong until the reveal. Listening to the prequel now and will listen to book 2 while driving the rest of the way through California.
Anyone who reads Fatal Affair is fated to read the next eight as well! The series unquestionably ranks right there with "In Death".
Don't ask me why but once the 2nd person was killed, I thought it was who it turned out to be (don't want to give anything away)...I didn't have it figured out before that though. I loved this book.I agree, Courtney. I love Sam & Nick. Can't wait to read more. Book 2 next month for me too.
Oh I can see this as a bing for me. The next book comes out tomorrow, which I thought was interesting timing since it is so close to in death and the books are being released the same day.
Yeah, I'm waiting for that book! I did a binge read of the series a couple of months ago. I had to:)
I set up informal book discussions beginning with Fatal Flaw, book #4. You can pop in there when you get that far in the series and join in if you'd like.

Washington, D.C., Metro Police Detective Sergeant Sam Holland needs a big win to salvage her career--and her confidence--after a disastrous investigation. The perfect opportunity arises when Senator John O'Connor is found brutally murdered in his bed, and Sam is assigned to the case. Matters get complicated when Sam has to team up with Nick Cappuano, O'Connor's friend and chief of staff...and the man Sam had a memorable one-night stand with years earlier. Their sexual chemistry still sizzles, and Sam has to fight to stay focused on the case. Sleeping with a material witness is another mistake she can't afford--especially when the bodies keep piling up.
