Oh dear! So much happened in this section!!! I love Laia and Elias. They are such strong characters! I also really like Keenan in this section. For a little while I was hoping he and Laia would be together and then Elias and Helena would be together, but as the story progresses, I am not sure Helena is what Elias needs. I feel like she is a little bit too brainwashed by the empire; I was very disappointed in her when she said that Laia didn't matter because she is a slave. I still wish her well because I don't think she is a bad person, but I don't think she is the best for Elias.

I agree! OMG I totally couldn't stop reading long enough to come post my thoughts here. Part 2 was just...OMG

I was loving Hel as a character and conflicted if I wanted her and Elias together and Laia and with Keena(sp) or if I wanted Elias and Laia together. It was so confusing but I am more for Elias and Laia together now they just seem better for one another.

The trials! OMG they are horrible. I love one part that Cain says after trial 2 "they aren't meant to be easy" okay yeah I get it but there is a difference between hard and just plain cruel. I mean really...I don't think I'd want a ruler that completed the last two tasks. They just show you have no heart or soul and to rule you should love your people.

SO MUCH!!!!! I was spazing out for real!

I was alos struggling with what to say about this section. My thoughts were scattered all over the place.

The trials were absolutely horrible.
