What have you all been reading lately?

message 12: by Madi (new)

Madi | 220 comments I've developed this awful habit as of late where I start a book, then find three others I just have to read at the same moment as well.. So I'm in the middle of a few right now. Not many novels lately. Absolutely in love with "becoming myself" by Stasi Eldridge. Very focused on developing OUR identity in Christ & being ok while you're on the way to where you're going. My favorite thing she's said so far is that shame is never an agent for change. No matter how awful we may feel about ourselves or even sin it our lives, change can't begin with condemnation. We've been set free from that! It's only thru the power & healing of the Big HS that growth comes. :)

I know what you mean, I was doing the same thing. But I decided in the new year to cut somethings out of my life and one of the things I really missed was reading, so I'm trying really hard to polish of the books again. But I've got so many great books on my list, I want to read them all! :P

That sounds like an awesome book and that is sooo true. I really needed to hear that right now, so thank you for passing it along. :)
