Let's put our head together and put a list of books with babies and/or pregnancy in the interracial genre. Sharon asked me and I couldn't think of that many.

My Forever Love by BA Osahor
Three Wishes by Seressia Glass
Sam/Alyssa have a baby in Into the Storm? Arch will correct me on this.

Can y'all think of more???

Oh my goodness, this thread was started when I was on vacation.

Danielle, Sam and Alyssa are expecting in All Through The Night. We first get to meet Ash in Dark of Night and then in Hot Pursuit. He's so adorable. A mixture of Sam and Alyssa.

Is that Jules and Robin's story? I have nothing against them, I'm just not interested in reading their story. I'll have to pick it up, cheap, although knowing me I'll read the whole thing instead of just the S/A parts.

Yes that's their story. Of course, I have done a lot of skipping in that book. I've scoped out Sam and Alyssa's part. Jones is in this story too. He's from Out of Control. I like Jones. I've read ATTN first and then Out of Control. Sam admires Jones skill and he wants him to come and work for TI in ATTN.

I was given the book as a present. My buddy know how much I love Sam and Alyssa. She also knowsthat I don't read same sex stories, but she wanted me to have this book, because of Sam and Alyssa.

I have to say, they are cute in this book. Alyssa is pregnant and still the woman in this book. They play a laser gun game. Alyssa, Sam and other members. Of course, Ayssa can't move around like she would have, if she wasn't pregnant.

Haley is in this book too. She's described as being Sam's daughter, as in a mini Sam.

Thanks for the rec, Justine. I bought this one for that reason, and b/c the hero is British. :)

message 11: by Kio (new)

Kio Mendosa | 3 comments I really loved Ivy's Twisted Vine. That is my all time favorite book. I read it four times! The baby element was good, but I talked to the author at a meet and greet Latrivia Nelson and she is writing a whole new book about Nicola and Ivy and the kids as they get older.

message 12: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Huxford (blackpanthershay) | 970 comments Ivy's Twisted Vine is a tad expensive for a paperback!!!

message 13: by Kio (new)

Kio Mendosa | 3 comments I got it online for like $14.99. Then I know she sends paperbacks to women prison inmates for free. At the meet and greet she told us about some of the nonprofit work that she does. So i didn't mind buying one.

Cool. I have Taking Joy on my list to buy. Thanks Cinquetta.

Trolling Nights by Savannah J. Frierson
Delaney's Desert Sheikh by Brenda Jackson

Yolonda | 406 comments Cinquetta wrote: "TAKING JOY by Jordyn Tracey I know some books but I don't want to get name wrong."

Actually Taking Joy isn't really pregnancy themed. The heroine has a child from a prior relationship and the hero is accused of fathering a child years before he met Joy.

ok, thanks for clearing that up, Loni. How do you like Jordyn Tracy's books?

Yolonda | 406 comments Danielle wrote: "ok, thanks for clearing that up, Loni. How do you like Jordyn Tracy's books?"

I find her interesting and I think she'll get even better the more she writes. I just couldn't deal with one story of hers called "His Heart". That was the most depressing romance I'd ever read. They had one tragic event and bad decision after another. It was like the Murphy's Law of romances.

message 21: by Cinquetta (new)

Cinquetta (darkfaer) | 54 comments Hi Loni did the book HIS HEART have happy ended. I can deal with depressing hit or miss romance but if a book don't have happy ending that piss me off. You read the whole book but no happy ending. NO.NO.NO me don't like!!!!!

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 7331 comments Mod
I'm scared now. I have to have a HEA, just like Cinquetta. No HEA, it's not romance. I don't even like Happy For Now endings.

message 23: by Yolonda (last edited Sep 03, 2009 03:00PM) (new)

Yolonda | 406 comments Yes, His Heart actually manages a HEA, but the road to it was criss-crossing, zig-zag crazy.

There is a baby issue in this story, but it's not the heroine's. And that's all the spoilers I'm going to give on this story.

message 24: by Cinquetta (new)

Cinquetta (darkfaer) | 54 comments Thanks! Loni I can live with that just as long it has happy ended.

Jenn | 126 comments Kind of ironic that I finished Twist of Fate shortly before I read about that stupid judge.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 7331 comments Mod
That is ironic. What did you think of Twist of Fate, Jenn?

message 38: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 126 comments I really enjoyed it. I started to get suspicious of the mother when the characters kept mentioning how she seemed to be 'afraid' of their relationship. I was hooked by the first couple of pages. I love that feeling when you first start reading and you can't put it down. I loved reading about a man who had such a strong connection with his child and I was even more touched because he had just found out about the child and was in love. My heart just went out to him. I was apprehensive about that fact he though she would just turn over her child to him.
I loved that they were both artist. The setting and the food references I could appreciate because when I was pregnant I LOVED seafood.
I have been reading reviews about the sequel and decided to skip it. I do not want to ruin a good thing. They say the female lead is selfish and kind of mean. Supposedly she has issues from her past. That I do not like because we all have issues, but it should never be an excuse to treat people poorly or to be selfish. I think I would just end up not liking her.

You should read Beyond The Rapture. It's not as bad as some people have made it out to be.

And I agree with you Eugenia. That secret black person thing is so freaking annoying!!!!!
From now on... any time a writer does it. I'm asking for my money back.

message 44: by Beth (new)

Beth (spectravel) | 22 comments I just read Best Made Plans by Nia Foxx. I thought it was really good.

Twist of Fate by Beverly Clark was okay.
The Question by Zena Wynn was great one.
Something Unexpectioned by Tressie Lockwood was good and has some erotic scens.

Does anyone have any others to suggest?

Thanks

TinaNoir | 1460 comments Happily Even After by Lena Matthews - Happily Even After

Awesome book!

message 46: by Beth (new)

Beth (spectravel) | 22 comments Thank you. I have "Happily Even After" and I'll try it again. I got about 1/4 in and just couldn't get the heroine so I didn't finish it. Just didn't understand why she divorced her husband when she had 2 kids. But, I see a lot of good comments like yours so I'll try it again.

I just finished "Taking Joy" and good in a hero rescues heroine sort of way. Nice story but wanted to heroine to have the strength to be able to take care of herself a little bit.

Dmitry's Closet was very good! Love the Russian bad-boys :-)

I'll check out the others. Thanks
