Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry guys! Been so busy I forgot!! I will let you all know tonight! I promise!!

Ok!! I went ahead and prayed about it and here it is :D Sorry for the delay friends- This week's theme is "Letting Love Guide!" You can do anything related to anything about that! Be unique! If your devotion sways a little from that point that would be fine- Let the Lord lead you and what you should say and that's all that's matters!!
I'll be sending out a newsletter to all the volunteers later tonight to make sure everyone knows and any questions you have feel free to ask!!

About the "Letting Love Guide topic": I was reading this month in Romans where Paul is talking about gifts and he says that "the greatest of these is love," and I have been thinking about how there is no small act of love. I am a member an order called "The Daughters of the King" and the Junior Daughters made bracelets to give to children that have lost homes and family members in Iraq. The kids love the bracelets and wear them all the time because it makes them feel that they are not forgotten.

Love will make you to be recognized by many people,its only love that made God offer his only son.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever Believes in him will have everlasting life.
When you are led by love it will be easy for you to hear from God. And not just letting it guide you but to let it guide you with all your heart.
*love your neighbour as you love yourself*
Love is the most important element one should have in heart*
Love makes something out of nothing.
May God reach you out there according to his own special way.

September 7

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or clanging cymbal.” - 1 Cor 13:1

I don’t know about you, but sounding brass and clanging cymbals gets annoying. Playing in a band, every once in a while the drummer is banging those cymbals and we have to stop and say, “Drummer boy, ease up on the splash!” It drowns out the rest of the song. People listening can’t hear the other instruments. Can’t hear the lyrics. I can’t even hear my own guitar.

Ever heard a sermon that lacks love? Or ever encountered a Christian who speaks without love?

I have.

And I get tired of listening to it — I want to just put my hands over my ears and shut out their clanging cymbals and pointless noises. They’re telling me how I should live, what I’m doing wrong, and getting angry at me for cutting my steak to check if it’s done. (Yeah, that happened).

But love isn't just the speaking, it's also the listening. So listen, without argument.

Today, speak lovingly. And when you hear someone else clanging, listen lovingly. Love brings peace and joy, regardless of the other noises around you.

I enjoyed that Matt. But it is so very hard to stand and listen. And often anger begins to boil up in me. I usually just change the subject. I need prayers in dealing with those others that are so objective. I pray to Our Christ for His strength.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ we love you so much Lord! Thank you for being here with us Lord and for never leaving us! Please hear this prayer Dear Jesus and be with us all. Thank you so much for just letting us see the sunlight every day and the clouds and moon and stars and everything that show us you are there and are watching!! Oh Lord thank you for these friends here and for all they do- thank you for their love and encouragement and care!! Thank you for showing us that we are NOT alone and that we are the light of the world- that even with our faults and troubles and all the mistakes I make that you still love me and forgive!!!!
Lord Jesus I pray that you stay with us always! Help us through these devotions to say what we need to say and hear what you need us to hear- convict those who need you and show each one of us your plan and love for us! Guide us with these to for into your plan and love and daily life of following you! Please cover each and every one of us in your precious blood and stay with us in our minds!!! Be with us as we fight against the evil that comes against us. Cast our any thing that may hinder us in our walk with you and let us lay aside that weight which does beset us!! Let us give you our lives and hopes and fears and let us have the trust to know you have them in the palm of your hand!! Let us strive to know you more and more! Hide each one of us and our families and friends under your protective hand this week as we long to know you more!
Lord Jesus I could never thank you enough for what you do for me! You are my God- the ONLY God! Blessed be your holy name! Thank you Lord! I give you my life and bring me only the things you want for me. Please put your angels watch over us and keep us in our minds and bodies. Help this country and all these could tries and this world!! Please lord help those who need you and show them you are there. And help those who seek after you to find you!
Lord Jesus be with us and let this praise your name!! Thank you! Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for dying for us all and never forsaking us! You are a mighty God and I give all this into your hand Lord! Be with us all, protect us all and help us Lord! I love you so much Lord Jesus Christ!

Tuesday, September 8th, 2015.

1 Kings 17:7-16

As I read this story my heart jumped and I found this so amazing!
Elijah had come to this woman, who was getting ready to fix her and her son's last meal. Elijah asked her to fix him a cake, and the woman went in and cooked the prophet such a thing. Therefore the Bible says, "And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruise of oil fail..." Wow! Whatif this woman wouldn't have been led by love and just told Elijah that she and her son wanted to eat their last meal and there was not enough for him. What if she had let the thought of worry crowd her mind? Surely the devil was whispering in her ear, "Look at this, you are giving this man your only meal, the last one. You are letting your son starve." She could've been consumed by these whispers and fears. She could've- but thank the Lord she didn't! For if this woman hadn't obeyed God and let love guide against all manner of worry, fear, and anguish, surely that WOULD'VE been their last meal! But no!! Because of this woman's actions her and her son were saved and given an abundant source of food that NEVER ran out!!
Likewise, we have to let the live of God guide our words and actions everyday so that ALL things will go forward to glorify HIM! Let love guide to overpower our feelings of sin, worry, fear, anguish and terror!! Let His love guide and if we follow after Him and let love guide we will be given an abundant source of God's grace!!
May we let love guide! Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for everything you do for us! We love you so! In Jesus' name I pray- Amen!

I don't know if I am doing this right...if I need to type in html...I am new to all of this. But, that prayer was powerful and beautiful and could be used every day.

And about not being afraid (the Kings reading) and trusting God and giving all or the last of what you have - He is infinite and abounding in love for us. He can take a single act of trust and turn it in to so much -- Thank you for sharing that passage!

@Matt I wasn't here on Monday, so I just read yours: Corinthians 13 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. Thank you too!

Mary Kate's shows that God loves even to the obscure woman an her son, AND especially that He works through us.

I've been sick, got a late Dr appt, have bronchitis. One pharmacy is still open, and I'm typing this from the lobby.

I decided to get some pistachios and wait most of the time in my truck. As I walked out, a man approached. He asked for money for food for his family. So I asked him his name, told him God loves him, and almost emptied my wallet for him.

I don't know about you, but I never know where that food money really goes, but that's not what God requires - only that we show His love.

And... I saw him walk to a van and take a small child in his arms.
