So still I'm still entertained by this book but I'm not loving it yet. Granted it's early along in the story, but every time I start to enjoy it something happens to pull me out of it. For example, I really enjoyed the start of Ch 3. with Karyl coming to and running into another mythical figure (the Witness). But then we have a pretty improbable fight on a clifftop where an unarmored Karyl (with a broken sword and possibly a dented skull?) manages to fight off a couple of 3 m tall pack-hunting raptors. Maybe it's silly of me to nitpick accuracy in a book where knights ride dinosaurs to begin with but this just struck me as a little over the top. Anyone else? :)As for GoT feel...eh. Yes and no? Yes in the sense that there's a lot of point of view characters, in that the world seems big and complex, but no in the actual writing. I think GRRM had a much better handle on how to write characters- Milan is giving it a good shot but none of the main leads have really stood out to me. Again, it's early so I'm withholding judgement!

I like to read this book and I am not forcing myself to read it, it's just not my favorite right now, however I like it a lot more now than in the earlier chapters so that's a good thing.

Have you noticed anything about how Milán writes that you like/dislike?
What do you think about the cover design? Accurate? Interesting?
Does it have a GoT feel yet?
