Mid-Continent Public Library discussion

If you could cast (or RE-cast if Hollywood's selection was awful...) your favorite characters in the movie adaptation of the book, who would you sign?

I'm not really sure who I would cast instead, but Katherine Heigl is NOT Stephanie Plum (at least not the way I've pictured her all these years). I was really disappointed in that choice!

I totally agree with you Jodi. KH just wasn't my idea of our Stephanie Plum. I also don't know who I would have chosen for the part.

I agree with both of you. Another would be Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, not sure who I would cast though.

I want to high five you!!! Do you know how mad I was after I watched the movie. Twenty + books a fan base who knows the characters and who were very much looking forward to a movie adaptation of One for the Money, what did we get... actors who had no ideas who their characters were. Especially Ranger... the scene where he's in the gun store helping Stephanie buy a guy...there is NO WAY ranger would have looked down the barrel of the gun. Ranger is smooth, Ranger knows his stuff!!.... I would have liked Jennifer Esposito as Stephanie.

With all the remakes the film co's like to do, though its already pretty perfect, I would like to see a remake of 'The Maltese Falcon'. As who would portray..that would depend on the film style. But Benedict Cumberbatch would be a great start!

Right on Lisa.. I was soooo disappointed in the castings. What did you think of Grandma Mazur? Debbie Reynolds...really!

One for the money was such a disaster. Debbie Reynolds...don't even get me started on her, I so agree!!!!. Grandma Mazur is old, little, a spitfire! I know she's passed now, someone like Estelle Getty should of been Grandma Mazur!!!!
