20.6. Seasoned Reader - Amy O's Task - Quetzalcoatl

Quetzalcoatl was an Aztec god associated with creation and the forces of good and light. His name means “Feathered Serpent.” He was the god of learning, wisdom, intelligence, and self-reflection, and was credited with discovering corn, the arts, science and the calendar. He was also associated with the morning star and with the wind – Ehecatl, the Wind God, was one of his incarnations.

For this task, read one book that fulfills one of the options below. REQUIRED: Please state which option you chose when posting your completed task.

Option 1: Read a book with one of the following words in its title or subtitle: feather, plume, snake, serpent, calendar, star, wind. The word must stand alone. Plurals and possessives are okay, but no other variations.

Option 2: Read a book with the letter “Q” somewhere in the main title. Subtitles or series names may not be used for this option – only the main title of the book.
Examples: Q & A by Vikas Swarup, The White Queen by Philippa Gregory.

Option 3: Since Quetzalcoatl was the god of learning and of self-reflection, read a book with a main page genre of Education or Self Help.

Amy (azulaco) | 273 comments These books will not work for Option 2:

Gaysia: Adventures in the Queer East by Benjamin Law - letter Q is in the book's subtitle, not the main title

The Keeper of Lost Causes (Department Q #1) by Jussi Adler-Olsen - letter Q is in name of series, not book title

The Thief (The Queen's Thief #1) by Megan Whalen Turner - letter Q is in name of series, not book title
