Time to recommend books for October. This topic will be open until next Sunday and voting for the books recommended will start on Monday and go for a week.

Wendy Cooper | 64 comments If I could add something here: If you have previously recommended a book, and it didn't "win", and wish to recommend it again, let us know. It may inspire us to vote it through. I may vote for it accidentally, who knows.

That's fine Wendy. And just a reminder that you can change your vote. Lol!

Docxen | 159 comments I'm going with christopher moore's "Fool" it's not for children there are adult situations but it's very funny. http://www.amazon.com/Fool-A-Novel-Ch...

Anthony | 8 comments I would like to recommend Ranger's Apprentice: the Ruins of Gorlan, the first book in my favorite fantasy series. I enjoy the dry wit and the life lessons in this book told by an Australian writer who wanted to help his son learn how to deal with bullies. Don't worry there is a good storyline to it, too.

Michael | 18 comments The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum. It's completely different than the film of the same name. The book is a fine example of a spy thriller set in the cold war era.

message 8: by Michael (new)

Michael | 18 comments Is it OK to nominate more than one book?

One book per person Michael.

Michael | 18 comments Got it. Thanks!

message 11: by Nathan (new)

Nathan | 34 comments And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.

According to Dr. Who, Christie's books will still be read billions of years from now. It's time to find out why her books are so timeless.

message 12: by SciFiNow (new)

SciFiNow | 89 comments I want to nominate Ender's Game again. I will continue to nominate it until it wins haha.

message 13: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 3 comments I'm not sure if this was a book of the month yet but I'd like to recommend "Storm Front" by Jim Butcher which is book 1 of the Dresden Files.

message 14: by SciFiNow (new)

SciFiNow | 89 comments that is a great nomination I love the Dresden files

Since it s October I believe we should read something Halloween-ish. Dracula by Bram Stoker is what I would like to nominate.
