Manon lied to the king for Aelin. I love it! I hope they become friends eventually. But they took Elide and put her in the dungeon! Oh boy. Does anybody else not entirely understand the reason for her character?

Oh Asterin's story made me want to cry! And kill the high witch at the same time! How terrible! I love how Manon returnees the favor for Aelin by letting her now Dorian was still in his body somewhere!

Oh crap! The king knows who Aelin is! And Lorcan didn't kill the other wordhounds! Man I am so nervous for the rest of this book, and I don't have a good feeling about this!

I think Elide will have a bigger part in the next book... it's kinda like how Kaltain didn't have a huge purpose at first, and then Manon in HoF didn't have a huge purpose. I think she'll become important :)

I agree. I think Eldie is going to be a bigger part in the next books.

Was anybody else super happy that Manon stood up to the king? I was so glad she finally told him they weren't his play things. I think it's important to note that the Valg are afraid of witches because they come from the Valg king. I really want them to side with Aelin but it probably won't happen. Lol.

I'm so glad that Chaol and Aelin talked it out. They become friends again and I think it's a really beautiful scene.

Um Lorcan? Hello! Can we talk about him being the biggest jerk ever!!!
