In the action packed fantasy book The Iron Trials, by Cassandra Clare a young boy named Callum Hunt also known as Call has to take one of the hardest test he has ever taken. This isn't just some ordinary test it's a magical test made for mages. Everyone that competes tries to succeed, so they can go to the Magisterium, a magical school made for mages, But not Call he wants to fail. In the test, one of the master mages, Master Rufus sees through Call's plan and sees his potential. During the test Call meets a girl named Tamara, a boy named Aaron, and a mean kid Jasper.
At the end of the test each Master chooses three apprentices Master Rufus chose Call, Tamara, and Aaron. When Call arrives at the Magisterium he meets his new friends Tamara, and Aaron and together they take on many tasks, tests, and adventures, but there is an evil lurking inside the Magisterium. Will Call and his friends survive, or will they be consumed by the madness of this evil. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery or anyone who loves an action packed fantasy.
