Hi, I'm the author mentioned above. I have six books self-published and on Goodreads. I want my Amazon sales links to link to Amazon.co.uk for all the books. Currently, three of the books' Amazon links 'cannot be recognised' and three link to Amazon.com store. I can't fix this because I don't have the authority. Please can you help? Thanks.
Thanks.

Oliver Tidy | 20 comments I should add that I have tried to copy and paste Amazon's ASIN numbers in a bid to edit and correct the existing link, but that was not allowed. :-)

Z-squared | 8575 comments Hi Oliver,

Sales links are not something librarians have control over. They're customized by the user, and they are specific to the edition you navigate from. The purchase links searches the indicated bookseller by ISBN (or ASIN) or by title if no ISBN exists. Depending on which edition you are viewing, the purchase link may or may not work. For instance, the default edition of Rope Enough is the ebook:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

The reason the Amazon link doesn't work is because Amazon doesn't sell an edition of Rope Enough with this isbn. If you use the purchase link from the kindle edition page, you get to Amazon:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Users can shelve whichever edition they prefer, and they can then navigate towards their preferred bookseller. There's nothing we can do about that. However, you CAN control what is the default edition of each work (the edition that appears on your author profile and first in search results). If you'd prefer to steer users towards Amazon, then set the kindle editions as the default edition for each of your books by following the instructions here:

https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...

Only Goodreads authors can set the default edition at this time.

Z-squared | 8575 comments and yeah, please don't remove or change ASIN/ISBNs from valid books! that is a big no-no at Goodreads!
