The Revenge of Seven discussion

I am at a complete lost. 7 decided not to kill 5. What revenge is Mr. lore referring to? Also, there are 4 left (1-3 & 8 are dead) to save an entire PLANET. 4, 6, 7, 9, Sam, dad and Adam (and maybe BK) against the US government and the Mogs. Oh, and the Guardians have lost every major battle. PL, how about increasing the team's legacies x 10, and introducing a group of aliens who have been on Earth living among us for decades who can better prepare them. They're walking around with a chest filled with "I wonder what these do."

Please don't say maybe BK, BK isn't allowed to die.

Anyone wondering whose the successor of Pittacus Lore?
To be honest I don't want it to be nine or john,cause nine is a asshole and john is pretty useless. Five was brainwashed by the Mogs so it wasn't really his fault,as he was trying to kill nine, and i actually wanted nine to die, he was an asshole. But eight had to save him and leave Marina behind. It could be Six or Marina,but i was hoping it was eight as he was my favorite after Six and he had the dreams which indicated that he could be the one.

To be honest, I think it's going to be four. After I read all the books through FoF, I went to the Wikipedia site and looked up more about the powers the Garde and the mogadorians have. Apparently, setrakus Ra can heal any wound, no matter how fatal, so that pretty much cancels any theory or idea that he can be killed by things like a slit throat or a stab through the heart. The only way I can see him dying is by drowning (so, quite possibly, marina could do it) or being burned to death (which I think is more likely, hints why I think its four.)

Go ahead guys! Picture it in ur minds! Its genius if i do say so myself. Luckily this year seems to go by faster than usual, i mean it feels like yesterday was New Years Eve! I love this series sooooo much!!! OH OH OH, I got another idea just now! What about the Cimeara????!!! They could help hold Setrukus Ra down!!! Anywho, reply to me if u think of any other ideas, or flaws in this idea.Comments are appreciated.
P.S. NO ONE BETTER DIE!!! ONLY FIVE MUST DIE!!!(or c the light?..) sry guys, but i actually dont want Setrukus Ra to die yet. I dont even want them to go back to Lorien for goodness sake! I dont like predictable ends, and we can all predict them going back to their home planet and living happily ever after. The ending should let us hanging just a bit, but creating a good enough ending to satisfy the majority. TTYL! ;P

*ahem* Well I actually had this theory that Ra needs to be cut exactly where the purple bruise is. Its too simple, like an Achilles heel!. Six tried to cut him all over his body but in vain. Plus I remember reading in one of the books that when Pittacus fought him he managed to make a purple bruise on him, which makes it obviouslu clear that that is exactly his Vulnerable part!!

That's a good point, I never thought about that, though I do remember reading it as well. The question is, how did lore give Ra the scar, as there are multiple ways it could've happened. I believe the way the scar is given originally could be important to how the guarde kill Ra. Not saying this is true, just thinking here, but what if Ra kept the scar to show others how tough he was, and that no matter where you struck his body, or how severe, he would still live...

I had thought about that too. That even The Eldest elder wasn't able to defeat Ra. But then in Power of Six Henri stated that these nine lorics are gonna be even stronger than the very Original Lorics...which makes them pretty hard to beat.

While that is true, you gotta think about how hard it is going to be to get to his neck. If it is one of his weak spots, then he knows it and he's going to protect it to the best of his abilities.

how could you possibly think of killing nine? he's one of the facts why this book is awesome! hahaha

Nine is one of my FAVORITE characters! I can understand why some people hate him, but I think he's hilarious

Okay, so i think i am the only person who thinks Five is misunderstood. I thought it when i read 'The Fall of Five' and it was further solidified after reading 'The Revenge of Seven'

I see people arguing over the fact that the title is misleading...i don't care about that. What i really care about is me, surviving, or trying my best to survive, another DAMN year, waiting for the next book.

BEST CLIFF HANGER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!!! I have never been so MAD at an author and have so much appreciation for the author at the same time. Had a huge love/hate thing going on...STILL going on actually.

Brilliant cliffhanger!! best possible ending to get your reader coming back.. its S**t we have to wait another year but i think there might be another novella in between about when Sarah went to meet up Mark James..

I know I need to read it. I'm slowly going crazy not being able to read it but I haven't been able to go buy it and I'm worried I won't be able to afford it because most of my money is saved for the blood of Olympus which comes out next month (and I'm super excited and bouncing off the walls for that too) But hopefully I'll be able to buy it and read it soon or maybe find it online.

im sure you could find a second hand one or if one of your friend is into the same books as you, you could ask your friend to but the revenge of five and you buy the olympus and swap when you are finished!!

I might be able to find a free copy online if I wait long enough, which I might just do. Hopefully, I'll be able to find one that works soon. Also, I'm pretty sure the next book that comes out is going to be the last one.

Peter - I have to admit. I was super pissed at Five in FoF. I admit it. But I think he redeemed himself with what happened between him and Setrakus (can't say exactly what until Jessica reads the book)

I think Five is going to die. But i also think he's going to die a hero's death in the effort to prove himself and redeem himself for what he has done. But I also think that the fact that Setrakus trained him in the use of his powers is also a plus.

I just can't hate Five. I can't hate any of the Garde.

Another thing - I've heard discussions of people not liking Nine. ...They're kidding right? Nine is brave and funny...but he's a bit foolhardy and I hope he doesn't get in trouble for that.

I will not stop my lament on why I have to wait one more year for the next book to come out. I preordered RoS from MAY! I couldn't wait. (I wonder what the title will be for the next book though...)

^ I never hated five either, I think he was greatly misunderstood and lost. I can kinda understand why he sided mogadorians when he was younger because he was lost (metaphorically), lonely, upset because he had just lost his cepan, and literally had no idea how to develop his legacies. So, when the guys that he was supposed to hate, came and were nice to him, and treated him fairly, he probable started to like them and enjoy their company. That's my theory at least. I may not like what he did, but I somewhat understand, I think.
And I've heard about people not liking nine as well. I mean, I love nine, but he can be such a jerk to the others at times, if you think about it. But he's also really awesome and amazing and one of my favorite characters.

I FOUND IT! Hopefully it's the whole book. I'll probably finish it by the end of this weekend.

Wade- he wants to kill Nine.. i don't think he will redeem himself if he does. it doesnt help that nine likes to provoke him but i cant see how hes going to redeem himself.. Non of the garde trust him.

Jessica- was it the full version? what did you think.

It was, though I wasn't able to finish it. Apparently, I had more things to do then I thought. As of right now, I just finished chapter 10.

Oh my gosh, I finished. It's freaking amazing! Sam has legacies now, I'm really pumped up, and I can't wait for the next one! Stuff's gonna go down in this next book and Sam is going to kick some major butt.

I just finished. Jesus everyone of these installments has left on a huge cliffhanger. But it was a good read finished it in about 5 hours. I called Sam getting his power about 2 chapters before it happened. Also with 8 coming back alive even if it was for a minute. I predict John will die but ultimately the guard will win. But who knows. On the edge of my seat super excited for the last book.

I haven't read the last book yet since it hasn't come out in dutch yet. But from what ive read I think John (number 4) is the successor of pittacus lore. He has the healing power like Marina and the power to comunicate with animals like nine. I think John will gain all the powers that the other garde's have.
