Blythe entered the library a few seconds after miles. There hundreds of books lining the shelves, and she was astonished when she saw them. She could tell her brother was so excited to pick out the ones he wanted, and kind of was too. "Why don't you go pick out some books? There's certainly a selection to choose from." Blythe addressed to Miles. She didn't know where start, so she when and revered to the digital map in the corner. All you had to do was type in your name, and whole selection of books came up for you. The machine was almost psychic, coming up with spot on suggestions for Blythe. Then once she clicked on a title she was interested in it gave her a portable GPS to direct her to it. She decided on a book about cross-dimensional travel called A Thousand Pieces of You and grabbed A GPS to hunt for it.
((I want a library like this))
Blythe followed the GPS instructions, walking all around the library until she found the book she was looking for. It was up on one of the lower shelves to the far end of the library. Blythe grabbed it and flipped through the pages. The cover was beautiful, and inspired Blythe to want to draw something, which she hadn't done much of lately. "Miles, I found the book I was looking for." She shouted back at him. She found her way back to the map, and tried to decide what book to look for next.(view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>
"Not sure, though probably not as much as you." Blythe laughed as she said it. Her brother was practically collapsing from the weight of all the books had had chosen. She typed in her name into the map again, and scrolled through the results that came up. She decided on a book called The Outsiders. Once again she picked up a GPS and followed it to the shelf the book was on.((I'm literally making her choose all of my favorite books))
Blythe searched for her brother, curious of what he had found. She found him at one of the shelves standing staring at the book in his hand. "What did you find?" She asked Miles. ((That's fine))
"Well, I'm glad you found something you really wanted." Blythe smiled at Miles excitement. When he found a book he wanted he was like a kid in candy shop. She went back to looking for the book like before, and located it pretty easily. She grabbed it off the shelf, then went and sat down on one of the large couches in the library. The couch was so comfy, and Blythe practically fell asleep when sat on it. Instead she tried to decide what book out of the two she had chosen, to read first. She decided to read A Thousand Pieces of You first and flipped to the first chapter of it.
"Wow." Blythe mumbled, to immersed in her own book to pay attention to Miles. She read quickly through it, taking in every bit of it. It was so interesting, and she couldn't help but love it.
Blythe reluctantly set her book down and faced Miles. "It's about cross-dimensional travel, so far." She quickly said, anxious to get back to reading it.
Blythe set her book down once again, this time ready to defend it. "Oh really" She said as she glared at Miles. "And what makes you say that it's better. At least A Thousand Pieces of You isn't some generic, young adult, dystopian novel." Blythe said jokingly towards her brother.((In real life I really like dystopian novels))
Blythe rolled her eyes at Miles. She went back to reading, and was completely immersed in the book. She sped through it already reaching the fourth chapter. She wished she could curl up next a fire and drink hot chocolate as she read it.
Blythe set her book down once again, glaring at her brother. Why did he have to keep interrupting her? "Maybe it's because their all the same. There's always a government plotting against the protagonist, there's always a love story, and most of them come in trilogies. What is with that?" She ranted on to Miles.
"It's original, and intresting. It's sci-fi and adventure, with a bunch of twists. The characters are far from one dimensional, literally!" Blythe cracked a pun. It was actually pretty clever. She knew hee brother was going to freak out about the insults she said regarding his favourite genre, but she didn't care.
Blythe pushed the book away and continued reading her own. She laughed at on of the jokes in it, making a big show of enjoying it in front of Miles.
Blythe shuffled around on the couch, trying to find a comfy position. She finally settled down just in time to read the part were Theo found Marguerite. She smiled at the resolution.
"Already finished?" Blythe asked Miles. Both of them were pretty fast readers, but she didn't expect him to be that fast. Though she was pretty sure her book was bigger, so he had an unfair advantage.
"More like I want to take my time to enjoy it." Blythe joked back at Miles. She could hardly put the book down, it was so exciting. She ignored her brother's jabs, not caring what he thought.
Blythe rolled her eyes at her brother. He could be quite frustrating sometimes. She went back to reading her book, taking in all the details. Blythe's phone started to ring, and she quickly picked it up. It was her grandfather.
"Grandfather, I'm giving you too Miles." Blythe said into the phone. She handed her cell over to him, anxious to see what would happen.
"So what were you going to tell me?" Blythe tore the book away from Miles. She wanted to know right away, and she knew her brother was just holding out to annoy her.
"Right, like you've talked to mom lately. And grandfather would have just told her himself." Blythe blurted out at Miles. He was making her quite frustrated.
"Not until you tell me what he said." Blythe said to Miles. She stood up on the couch and held his book right out of reach, so he couldn't grab it.
"Like your really mature." Blythe rolled her eyes. She snatched the book out of his hand again. "Ha!"
"Oh, is someone pouting!" Blythe said to Miles in a mock baby voice. "Here!" She through his book back to him. "Have it!"
Blythe resumed reading A Thousand Pieces of You. She had just got to the part were Marguerite went to the Russia demension, she could hardly put it down.
"Real mature!" Blythe shouted to Miles, wherever he was. She ignored him, just to make him annoyed. She layed down on the couch, and started the next book she had chosen, The Outsiders.
"You're acting like ten year old Miles" Blythe shouted back at her brother. She chased him down, speeding up quickly and tackling him to the ground. She grabbed the book out of his hand, and shouted "Victory!" Then Blythe went and found a place to sit, plugged in her earbuds to listen to music, and went back to reading her book. This time she was protecting it from Miles.
"I'm not really in the mood Miles." Blythe said as she pushed her brother off. She went and sat somewhere else. She scrolled through her playlist, and decided to listen to Hey Jude by the Beatles.
"Neither are you." Blythe snapped back at him. She went back to reading her book and listening to music. After a moment or so she put her book down, stood up and went over to where her brother was seated. "Miles, where did you hide my other book?" She asked him.
"Would a chocolate bar do the trick?" Blythe hung Hershey's bar over miles's nose. She knew that he couldn't resist a sweet.
"And thanks for the book, which you stole, from me." Blythe said sarcasticly. She returned to her seat once again, and flipped to the chapter she had been reading of A Thousand Pieces of You, before.
"What's going on in your book?" Blythe asked her brother. She often got sidetracked when reading, and today was no exception. Even though her book was exciting, and she could hardly put it down, Her brain just would not settle down to finish it.
"Don't you want to know what's going on in my book." Blythe asked him, peering over to where Miles was sitting. She knew he probably didn't, but she was hoping he would want to know. She wanted to explain it to someone.
"It's not just a romance book!" Blythe exclaimed in annoyed tone. Her brother was so frustrating sometimes. "I'm not going to tell you anymore, since you offended it." She told Miles. I probably didn't even care, and wasn't going to give him the time of day. Blythe went back to reading her book.
"Well, if you must know, the main character Marguerite has just jumped into another dimension. The world there is less advanced, and most things are still at a 19th century level. Marguerite discovers that in this alternative life to hers she is the princess of Russia. And know she is looking for her friend Paul." Blythe said, in a somewhat annoyed tone. "Though I'm sure that it sounds elementary next to your book." She said to Miles sarcastically.
"Don't bother, I'm sure you'll just poke holes in the plot." Blythe rolled her eyes as she said it. She turned back to her book and continued to read. Her brother was such a book snob sometimes.
"What, exactly?" Blythe asked, not even looking up from her book. She wanted to see how long she could give Miles the cold shoulder. He would eventually get annoyed with it and probably do something rash.
You know I don't like archery. And neither did you, last time I checked!" Blythe said to Miles. She put her book down and marked her page with a scrap of paper. Then she went over to the check in desk, since she hadn't checked out her books yet. She scanned them, then typed in her name. Blythe went back and sat down on the couch, and pulled her knees up on it. "Maybe we can go practice fencing." She told him reluctantly.
December walked around the library, a large stack of books in her hands. She looked at the fantasy , her favourite section in the entire library. She leant in to pick up an interesting title , she then tripped over her own feet and dropped the stack on the floor startling her. "Oh god!" she groaned
December looked up from where she was picking the books up."I'm so sorry. I'm a bit of a klutz you see." She said looking up at the mysterious stranger. Once they finished she stood up. "Thank you. I'm December."
((Sorry about the lateness.))
"Thanks. I'd have to say it's probably fantasy." She replied smiling a big grin. This guy was attractive to say the least. She kept walking not focused ahead but on him forcing herself to run into a pole by accident.
Violet grabbed a book of the shelf and sat down eagerly at an empty table and opened the book, which was on animals. She was so happy about her distant grandmother visiting that she could hardly concentrate on the book even though she found it very interesting.
James was looking through all the books in the library, trying to find a good book to read. He felt that he had read a majority of books in fiction section and was trying to find something new. he looked around the library, not spotting the librarian but he did see another girl there. He walked over and noticed how concentrated she was on the book. He stood a few feet away, debating if he should bother her or not.
Violet felt someone's stare and felt a little uneasy. She looked up to see a boy looking at her and, raising her eyebrows, stared back. She tried holding back her laughter but in the end it escaped from her throat. "Yes? What is it?" She asked and closed her book.
James smiled a little before he spoke. "I'm sorry to bother you, but I need a recommendation for a book. I have read most of the Fiction books and decided I needed a change and I have no idea what to read." He told her as he walked over to her.
Violet tapped her fingers on the table, thinking hard. She wondered if the boy liked poetry. "Okay, if you feel like reading complicated stuff you should check out the poems down Section B," she pointed to her right. "I strongly recommend that. What genre do you like? I 'll have to know in order to help." She smiled.
