E M M A A contemporary dance studio. Feel free to come here and express yourself.

message 2: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathan walked in after meg into the studio awkwardly, the lights in the main desk area a contrast from the dark outside. There was a sound of pumping music off on the right, behind a door labeled Studio A. Opposite of that door on his left was Studio B, with the door wide open, e cloning for someone to come inside. "There's no one in here," he murmured softly, looking at the large room in awe. He saw a piano, and grinned. He had taken lessons and practiced with sayor, but recently gave up on piano. Maybe he could bring it back, have something fun, a talent.

E M M A Nathaniel followed autious let through the door to the studio after meg, stepping inside awkwardly. He felt like he didnt belong at all, not one bit. He readjusted his hat, tugging up at the band on his sweatpants. It was starting to get really hot outside, and the AC was perfect for his relief. "Show me what you do," he called out across the room, making faces in the mirror as he readjusted his hair as well.

E M M A Nathan opened his mouth to protest at her leaving. He wandered the length of the studio floor, practicing spins for fun as he laughed softly to himself at how stupid he was. "You changed?" He spun around , his shoes sliding over the floor as he glided jokingly towards her, as if her were ice skating again. Ice skating with sayor. Shut up, he told himself silently. "Well I'm here today," he chirped, plopping down on the piano bench and swinging his legs around to face the piano. "What song do you want to dance to? Don't know if I can play any rap songs on here," he joked, in a surprisingly good mood even though guilt was eating away at him. His parents were no doubt upset, but let them be.

E M M A ((Gonna pretend I know who that is))

Nathan watched meg as she prepared herself, smiling to himself at her red shoes. He loved his red shoes, even though he had been too depressed to wear them recently. "Of course! I've gotcha," he assured her, testing out the keys to find the piano perfectly tuned. Thank goodness. "Give me a cue," he prompted, taking a look at the mirror to see Meg's reflection. "Why not-" he began to protest, before thinking better of it. "Sure, I won't look then," he sighed dejectedly, pressing the opening key as he waited for her ok.

message 6: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel felt himself mess up several times into the song, distracted by trying to look over to the mirrors and see meg move. She was amazing, her limbs coordinating to form a grceful performance. He hadnt noticed the change of tone she danced with halfway through the song, didnt notice the tears on her face as he refocused on playing the piano again. His fingers flew easily per the keys despite having not played for weeks, both of them expressing themselves beautifully. They could have performed it somewhere, at some theater, and they'd get a standing ovation. He stopped a the last note, breathing softly in reverence. "Woah, that was... Amazing," he whispered with excitement, moving to congratulate meg. She was crying, her blonde hair strands in her eyes. "What's wrong?"

message 7: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel nodded slowly with doubts, deciding to let the situation slide anyway. "You did wonderful," he smiled encouragingly, his arm draped around her shoulders as he kicked off his shoes and beanie as well, flapping his shirt to get some air. It was warm in here for some reason, Nathan having exerted actual energy into playing the piano with such concentration. "Can ou teach me how to dance?" He suggested timidly, thinking that dancing could be heir new thing. Just like him and sayor, playin the piano and singing, had been three weeks ago.

message 8: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel nodded with satisfaction, standing up straight and standing a good arms distance away from her. His insides bubbled with anxiety. Could he actually dance? Was there a way he'd be at least acceptable at dancing? "Hip hop, got it," he snorted, knowing that the high speed moves wouldn't I so well. Ballet had been so slow and fluid, where as hip hop was quick and unpredictable. "Easy?" He repeated, doing exactly what meg did, his movements awkward with his long bony limbs. He tripped over his feet several times, wanting to give up as he whacked himself in the face the third time around. "This is hard," he complained.

message 9: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel knew by the seventh time he'd never be a good dancer. Ever. Try as he might, his body wasnt made for dancing. "But-" he paused, a rouge spreading across his cheeks as her hands pushed at his chest. That was unexpected, he thought to himself, holding his breath unil she walked away from him, to repeat the moves. What was she saying about cores? Core. Nathan tried again, twice, finally looking at least somewhat descent with Meg's tips and guiding as he danced the same move over and over again. "An I doing it right?" He called, giggling at his succes.

message 10: by E M M A (new)

E M M A ((Wanna add drama somewhere?))

message 11: by E M M A (new)

E M M A ((Ummm not sure right now... Flirting/falling in love, aunt drama, an old enemy, an old friend? A third person?))

message 12: by E M M A (new)

E M M A ((YESSS!!! AHHH! Okay that's perfect;) brb lunch! So sorry I'll be on nonstop after though! You could narrate the aunt coming))

message 13: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel realized that meg was no longer at his side, his face falling as she rushed to the door. "Meg?" He called loudly, following her to the door as she shushed him harshly. It was Meg's aunt, the one that pulled a knife on her own niece. "Hide?" Nathan asked worriedly, his gaze following hers. A closet. A supply closet. "There?" He questioned, skeptical about bein confined in a small space again. He tugged Meg's hand towards the closet, picking up his beanie and her dance bag and craning himself with it in the closet. "Come on, meg!" He whispered hysterically, afraid what would happen if they were caught.

message 14: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel felt slightly bad for meg, their sweaty bodies and pounding hearts all crammed into one tiny space. With Nathan's long limbs, he had managed to tuck himself into the corner of the closet with meg practically sitting in his lap along with the dance duffel. His chest rose and fell rapidly with heavy breathing, nervous for what would happen. The aunt could open the closet any second, her footsteps almost directly outside. He closed his eyes, squeezing Meg's hand as the voice got louder. What would happen if meg got caught? If she was so desperate as to hiding here, it had to be bad. Nathan felt like he'd over heat and explode, his sweatpants almost clinging to his hot skin. He blushed for being so closed to meg, wondering how bad things would end.

message 15: by E M M A (new)

E M M A The adrenaline from hiding from an adult wore off, the fear of being yelled at sinking in. He had been pretty awful the past two weeks, but Nathan was still a goody two shoes at heart. "It's okay," he managed to whisper ever so slightly, watching the door anxiously as he clenched Meg's hand. They were so close, with the confines of the closet and the hanging costumes above them tickling his face. The footsteps faded as her aunt called for Megan, slightly furious, muttering something about drugs and meg again. Nathan could feel Meg's breath against his neck from where she was, her silhouette outlined by the cracks of light from the door against her skin. She was... Beautiful, talented, loving, everything sayor was. But he wouldn't allow himself to move on, he wouldn't. Ever.

message 16: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel felt Meg's body tighten against his, a warm tingle rising to his cheeks as they cuddled against each other for safety. This was the second time today they were extremely close in a closet of some kind. The footsteps disappeared, the girl at the front counters voice carrying over the other studio about having not seen meg anywhere. "Think she's gone?" He whispered against Meg's hair, not realizing how close together they actually were until now. His hand was resting around her waist as she cuddled onto his shoulder, her eyes closed frightened.

message 17: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel nodded, slowly moving to adjust his position more comfortably. His arms now rested on her torso, their faces barely inches apart. Nathan blinked, seeing Sayors face for a moment. Sayor? No, this was meg. Meg. Nath shook his head again, panicking as he kept seeing sayor in place of meg, her features calling out to him. He felt himself move in at one point, almost kissing the sayor image. He turned away, resting his chin on her head as he listened intently for the aunt. "What will happen if you're caught?" He ventured.

message 18: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathan pressed his hand against Meg's side, shaking his head softly to gesture that she didnt have to contour. If was awful, how she was treated by this aunt of hers. Just Ike sayor, she was raised sir what abusively. Nathaniel felt so awful, he began to have pains in his chest as be recounted avert awful swear word he used against his parents the weeks before, when he had become a crazy child mourning Sayors death. "Don't go home, come with me," he offered, wondering if his mom would care about a girl sleeping over. They had several empty bedrooms, what was the big deal? Nathan nearly gimped with surprise with how he was thinking, that meg was almost replacing sayor.

message 19: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel nodded, releasing Meg's waist as he confirmed the offer. He felt awful about getting so close to a girl, both physically and friendship wise. He belonged to sayor! "Only if you want, If you need to escape," he mumbled sympathetically. He had done the same for sayor, as her refuge away from the abusive awful parents. He hoped they felt high and mighty now. "My legs hurt, I think she's gone," Nathan whimpered, his legs tingling and his skin beginning to sweat again for the stuffy hit air that had accumulated.

message 20: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathan rubbed his arms, wishing for Meg's body in his arms. It had calmed him, given him a sense of familiarity without sayor. "Oh come on, it wouldn't be intruding...!" He swore, fumbling the ground for his beanie and her dance bag. He had just stood up when meg fell again, surprise streaking a cross his face as he knelt to help her. "Are you alright...? You hit that pretty hard," he frowned, steadying her by the arm as he reached for the closet door handle. It opened, lettin in a cold whoosh of air in the bright studio. Squinting, Nathan strained his ears to listen for the sound of the aunt, pleased when there wasnt any.

message 21: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel could kind of sense that there was something not right about meg, the way she spoke slowly and with confusion, her eyes crossing a few times. He didnt do much about it, deciding shed be alright. He drooled the duffel off on the counter for the girl to tuck away, turning with surprise at Meg's agreement to come stay with him. Yes! At least he wouldn't be facing his parents wrath alone. He smiled toothily, taking her hand without a word. "Woah, easy," he teased as she stumbled, unaware that meg had just accidentally practically knocked herself out. "It's a long walk... I'll carry you if you need," he suggested, knowing that even from here, on the outskirts, a bus wouldn't be able to take them up that far to where he lived. So they'd walk thirty minutes. Maybe forty five.

message 22: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Nathaniel yelped in alarm at the loud slamming sound that resounded behind him, turning to see meg on the floor once again. "Meg! Meg, what's wrong with you?" He questioned in surprise, kneeling down by her side as she clutched her head. That's why she had been staggering, that one time she smacked her head in the closet! "Oh no... We new to get you help right away! A head injury is serious- meg! Meg, listen to me!" He babbled helplessly, feeling like he had when sayor passed out at the zupas restaurant so long ago. "Meg, please," he whispered, shaking her arm desperately as her eyes wandered in her head, her eyelids threatening to close. Nathan scooped the girl up in his arms, cradling her to his chest. "Hello? Anybody?" He called panicked, finding a desperate need for an ice pack. But what would an ice pack do?

message 23: by E M M A (new)

E M M A ((What should he do??))

message 24: by E M M A (new)

E M M A At Meg's new state, he knew that she was in troubled. He sprinted out to the streets with meg over his shoulder, flagging down a taxi New York style to the can drivers confusion. He gave him his home address, too panicked to think cleary. Wasnt the right thing to do going to the hospital? He was being selfish, wanting to keep meg from having to go home. Besides, he couldn't stand hospitals anymore. Nathan held Megan in his lap tightly, his breathing short and choppy as meg passed out in his arms. "Mom! Dad!" He screamed at the top of his lungs urgently, bursting into the house loudly with meg in his arms.
()play parents?))
