Zerai's house
Zerai collapsed on her bed. What a perfectly inconvenient waste of a teleportation crystal. She curled up under the blankets and went to sleep, requipping into some felt pajamas.
She decided to pretend she was NOT at home. She didn't know anyone well enough that they should knock at her door. OHHERGOSH. What if it was that really creepy stalker guy? She hid under the bed, being very quiet and glad that the windows were barred.
"she must be asleep" he said to himself as he sat on a patch of her garden near the door. "I'll probably see her later." he looked up at on of the windows before he talked again. "if you are awake, see you later" he said in a slightly louder voice, then nodded off into a slight sleep.
Oh gosh... that was THE ULTIMATE MOST CREEPY THING EVER! If she could ban him from ever speaking to her for the remainder of the game, she would. Being as it was, she sort of curled up there under the bed and whimpered slightly. That guy was REALLY scary.
in his dreams he thought of how the conversation would have gone if he wore white. his friend was there in his dream, comforting him, as the girl he met stood with her back to him, out of reach.
She eventually just crawled back into her bed and went to sleep. No one could enter her home without first being approved, luckily. Just like a game.
as he slept he thought that if he wanted he could just pick the lock but then ignored the thought under invasion of privacy.
(are you gone because I was going to wait until you tried to sneak out and then wake up and follow you so do you want to make it day now or ....?)
Luckily, as previously stated, it was a player owned house and you needed permission to get in. In the morning, she opened a window and sighed in the fresh pixelated air.
((Like that. Window is open. Open invitation.))
"see you're up" Zephyr said from under the window. he had laid himself there last night and had barely moved which made Zerai forget he was there.
She gave a scream and threw a kettle at him. "What the heck are you doing?!"
"waiting" he said as he caught the kettle. "your in the bedroom, were the hell did this come from?"
"I'm a fail of a cook. I brought that into my bedroom to dump it onto the garden outside and water the plants. I hope it watered your pants!"
"it's empty." he said as he held it upside down.
"Darn it, it must have expired." she retreated back into the house, filling up a bucket.
"good idea, the petunias could use the water." Zephyr said pointing at some flowers that were beginning to die.
She splashed him. And the flowers, which regenerated.
"thanks, I needed that. I was still slightly asleep" he said as he handed back the kettle.
"You are seriously stalking me, leave me alone, I will report you to the army or something."
"1. I'm official assigned to guard you now 2. I outrank the army 3. this is actually kind of fun. if every morning was like this, it would never be boring." Zephyr listed off as he handed over documentation stating the people he was told to look after. her name was third priority.
"Look, go away or I will personally introduce your head to that nice oak tree over there." She slammed the windows shut. This was so freaky! Now the army was against her? She totally needed to get out of here. She opened the market and bought a few teleport crystals. Then activated one on a teddy bear. So it would look like she went to the ground floor. Then she climbed out the back window.
"I've already met that oak tree." he said to himself as he began to walk around the house, "it was dark when I first got here and now she's sending false trails." he continued to muse to himself. "you can tell who teleports you now." he said loudly as he turned around the last corner and saw Zerai trying to scale the fences. it was weird, she didn't bother changing.
She felt adrenaline and raced as fast as she possibly could. "Get away from me!" she picked up the speed, glad she had dexterity enhancing armor. What did it take for this guy to give up? Why had his brother been on such a ridiculously low level?
Zephyr began to follow her, man she was fast. why did his brother had to choose a girl like that? and why did he let a level-1 boss kill him? he was level-73 for god sake and now he made his level-86 brother follow this girl. he was surprised that she hadn't slapped him like the report he had received said she would. this was going to be entertaining. "why do your pyjamas have a dexterity boost, do this often?" he called to her as they ran.
"Fleet of fleece!" she shouted back, face red. She drew her weapons. She would defend herself through any means, if this guy got up close and personal. "Look, just let me go and no one gets hurt!"
Zephyr stopped 10 meters away from her. "right now your priority three on the list of people to protect and it is listed that you have a very high potential to be one of the people to unlock one of the ten exclusive skills so I can not simply ignore you." he said to her as he threw the documentation back to her for her to check herself.
"Well, I'm not an official part of the guild or army and to date have offered no citizenship to anyone. So you have no authority. So get the heck out of my private property!"
"we scaled the fence 15 minutes ago."
"Well, yeah... I'm pretty sure chasing a girl out of her yard still in her pajamas counts as physical assault."
"I haven't caused you damage in any way than your haste to embarrass yourself."
"Look, you've been stalking me for the past couple of days and I really need you to get away from me and leave me alone, okay?"
"can't. I need to stay until you unlock the skill Battoujutsu and then I need to train you in how to use it so you can leave this game alive and I can appease my brother." Zephyr told Zerai.
"Gesundheit. Oh brother of whatshisface, be appeased, now get him to leave me alone!"
"what did she just say?" he asked himself quietly. "speak-a-da-normal-language-okay." Zephyr said louder for the girl to hear
"Look, does your brother want you to be a stalker and an assaulting convict?"
"as previously stated I've been ordered to follow you by my superior until you learn how to use Battoujutsu and also I still haven't harmed you in any way." he reminded her.
She tried to dodge around him and get back to her house to deny him any and all access.
"what about this." Zephyr began to say following her knowing full well what she intended. "me and you have a duel in the town square. I can give a friend a Divine Stone of Returning Soul to resurrect whoever dies and the winner can continue however they want in this matter. what do you say?"(i'll be back in about 1/2 an hour. I've got to walk home.)
"How bout this?" she asked, storming away, feeling stupid for being in her pajamas. "We don't have a duel. You stay away from me and I continue to fight on the front lines and save people and not be stalked by three dozen people and the government. So leave me alone!"
"in the duel I will be wearing what ever you want me to with no restorative items and we can supply you with the best manufactured." he continued to try and persuade Zerai
"I'm not fighting you with my soul on the line," she growled, moving faster. "No matter how 'staked' it seems."
"the divine stone of returning soul resurrects a person, there is every precaution you want to take can be taken including selecting a champion to take your place." he continued to plead. he began to think if she realised that this was not the way back to her house and that she could actually be lost right now.
She was just mad that she couldn't get rid of this player. "Well, look, whoever you are, I don't need you, I don't need your regime, I'm not- I'm not joining any guilds and I don't have plans to. Good day-" she tripped and fell into a pitfall, which was set up to capture large game. Her ankle was sprained, a minor injury, had she any food or healing potion. But she didn't, since it was all stored in her house and she was in her pajamas.
"you okay?" Zephyr asked as he knelt down beside her and offered her some cooked rabbit meat. "you should be more careful."
"Just- just go away! This wouldn't have happened if you'd just left me alone!" She didn't need this right now or ever.
"please." Zephyr continued to plead as he sat down still holding the rabbit meat out for her.
She hesitantly reached out, accepting the meat. "If this is- is drugged or something, I'm never going to forgive you." she met his eyes steadily, hiccuping slightly, like she was close to tears of frustration.
