Jonathan Bergeron (scifi_jon) | 370 comments Anyone here use Wattpad?
I just starting using it yesterday and am really liking it. Even if no one ever leaves a comment on my story (I hope people do), using it is going to make my story better.
It's forcing me to look at each chapter I write in a new light. Instead of my last book that left me stumped as to why it didn't work; by putting up the first draft chapter by chapter, I can see how the characters and story are evolving. See if the characters aren't, that's the big thing.

Here's hoping this one is a best seller :)

I put up Chapter 1 and 2 already, but then I changed them to Prologue section 1 and section 2. When I edit, I'll lump them both together into one prologue.

This is Chapter 1 of ANDROID UPRISING. Please remember it is a first draft, so critiques and comments are very welcome!

In fact, I am putting my work in progress up on Wattpad so people can offer as many critiques as they want. Even though it's said you never "go full editor", go ahead, go full editor on me if you want.

I really do believe my writing is finally up to the level that you won't see more than one grammatical mistake every chapter. What I'm putting on Wattpad isn't Amateur Night at the Apollo. It is a first draft though, which means entire sections could run away into the night during the editing phase.

As for what is up on Wattpad. If you fell like being kind, please VOTE on each of the Chapters I have up, so it can gain visibility on Wattpad.

I really hope you enjoy the read!

Jemima Pett | 167 comments It's really interesting to hear about your process. It wouldn't suit me because I do the whole thing in order to know the story before doing an edit. "Write loose, edit tight," was advice I was given, and I stick to it!

Good luck!

I have a few short stories up there right now, and I'll release Book 1 in my space opera series, week by week, starting in early 2016!

Carolyn McBride (carolynmcbride) I enjoy Wattpad as a reader, I've found some great work there. To a point. Science fiction, fantasy, psychological horror, I have more of those to read than I have time for! I enjoy "alternative" sci-fi and space opera, but there is blessed little of it that's good. As a writer, I'm drowning over there. It's like no one can find me because the sea is full of other works, you know what I mean?

I know we should be readers first, but it's a little frustrating.
