Here's my take -at least the obvious parts of it- on these chapters

ok .. so let's start with "Malina" .. I think this part really strengthened their relationship and clearly refuted the earlier assumption on mal being the sort of best friend one would think they're in love with cuz they had no one else.. Though I have to admit .. when they were kissing I remembered her comment about her being kissed before … that even her smooches with the darkling weren't her first .. I was really surprised .. not in a bad way .. just didn't expect it ..

No offense to mal .. but sometimes I catch myself thinking about the power difference between him and alina .. sort of like how one would wonder why beautiful genya would pair up with nerdy no-so-interested david .. It just worries me that they'll reach a point where mal would be some sort of sacrifice for alina to tone it down after her power boost ..

Speaking of which .. GIRL!!! and then the DARKLING!!!! .. and WITH THE STAG!!!! .. oh I don't know .. IT'S SO CONFUSING!!!! ..

I really didn't want the darkling to be the "evil" in this story .. I still sort of have my doubts that he's not .. but DUDE!!! TMI (as in Too Much Info not the mortal inturments).. was is jealousy that made him sell her out on almost doing it?? I think Bardugo did an outstanding job to be honest.. anything could be twisted and interpreted at this point to fit the grand story..

and later when they catch them TT~TT .. and genya T~T .. oh lord oh god oh wow .. I left out a lot ..
