Have you ever done NaNoWriMo? Here's where you can talk about your experiences, tips, plans, questions, etc.!

When is the next one? I want to do this but I'm still debating on this.

It's every november. :) Soon in april camp nanowrimo starts. Then you set your own word goal. :D

Sort of. Camp NaNoWriMo is in April and July.

The original NaNoWriMo is in November.

Yep! Signed up a couple of days ago. Shooting for 10k words. (Or 15k, can't remember for sure at the moment.)

I should probably get started on mine. I think I may spend tomorrow working on it. I should be able to knock out 2-3k at least. (When I get going, I can write 1k in less than half an hour.)

Hey everyone! :D How has Camp NaNoWriMo been for you so far?

I had a cold yesterday and couldn't write :( But I have 14k out of 30 so it's not so bad :D

It's a fantasy romance :) About forgiving and not necessarily being dependent of a guy to be in love with him ;) It's coming around.

10 more days left for camp!

I am so far behind! And I have writer's block! Sigh. Looks like another mark in the L column for me... :( (I've participated tons of times and have yet to win.)

Meh, I'm behind too. I just discovered that I suck at writing in third person, so wrote one chap in first, and realized I had to rewrite the whole thing or I'll never be able to continue. So yeah... lol

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one behind >.> I'm having similar issues Annie with third person.

Haha. It did help me though, to get back to writing and pushing myself :P . I was just used to wrting in third person for roleplaying but I don't know... it felt strained, not flowing together and sounding good :/

Aww. It's okay Lura! Try to work around it! Start a new scene and make something worth writing happen :) You can still win this!

Well it's a good thing you wrote in 3rd POV to know that you prefer 1st! You should continue the story in first POV and when camp is over, go back and edit everything :)

15360 something, and goal is 20k now, since I've started classes again and with so much homewor, the only time I have to write is just one hour between classes in a cafeteria :P (I had to snatch a seat from someone today to be near the wall and plug in the laptop :P)

Out of curiosity, is anyone doing Camp NaNo this month? I'm not; I had intended to do so, but then I had a crazy June and never signed up for it. But! I have finished a short story and half finished a second one this month, so that's something.

I'm still debating whether or not I want to attempt NaNo this November.

I am :3 Trying to make myself be able to reach 15k at least.

I did NANOWRIMO last year and accomplished writing 280 pages. It was the most amount of writing I had ever done in my life in such a short period of time. The book I wrote was Filled with grammar mistakes and now I have to take the tedious task of editing it, but even so, NANO allowed me to finally get over my 40 page writers block and begin to expand beyond the first few chapters of a novel.
