Vespers9 | 45 comments I grew up watching this movie over and over again (probably to the point where my parents strongly considered destroying the VHS), but I did not know for years that it was a book! So, while I never read this as a child, I think it definitely counts as a piece of my childhood!

This lived up to all my expectations and went above and beyond them. I wish that I had read this as a kid because I know I would have absolutely been enthralled with it because it was so...magical. And my parents probably would have been thrilled with having a break from my rewinding and replaying of my VHS.

Silvia Turcios | 304 comments I read this a few years ago and loved it! I also saw the movie first and I can't remember how different or similar they were, but I do remember enjoying a lot the book :)

Charity (faeryrebel78) I like you watched the movie over and over again. I'm currently reading this right now and really enjoying it. I am currently at the part where the movie ended though so it's new to me.

Vespers9 | 45 comments I was actually surprised, Charity, that the movie part of the book ended quite soon! I remember looking at my reading percentage on my Kindle and thinking: "but there's still all this book left... What's in there???" Some parts in that dragged a tiny bit for me, but overall I thought that the ending of the book made it really pay off.

Hope you enjoy the rest of it!

Charity (faeryrebel78) I saw online that the rest of the book is done in The Neverending Story movies part 2 and 3. I don't ever remember seeing any other movies but I may check them out after I finish the book.
