I just been asked to assist with asking quesion for a book club discussion regarding this firs book in "The Last Policeman" series. Please help me out, if you've read this book, what question(s) woud you like to have discussed relative to this book if you were attending our book club meeting.....
What kept Detective Palace actively working on the job when so many of those around him had either walked off or were simply biding time to the end?
Hi Bonnie,
Did you come up with other questions? A club I work with is doing it and I'd take any questions you had :) and would give proper attribution!
Thanks,
Kyla

Questions to consider:
- What would you do if you knew when the world was ending?
- Is it worthwhile to keep working and maintain order in the face of disaster? Even if it's only the veneer of control?
- How believable were the characters? Which ones did you think were or were not believable? Why?
- Which character were you most like? How?

The questions I was asking myself:
--Would society really continue to function as well as it seems to be functioning in this novel under the circumstances?
--Would you go 'bucket list' or try to preserve whatever semblance to normalcy you could in this situation?
--What specific things did Winters write to make the story so completely believable?
