Isa In my opinion, yes because there are no gruesome scenes and there is no bad language in the book. Even though the little girl is trying to be convinced to commit suicide there is great advice not to and the book has a great outcome.

Harley Bennett Good book for ages ten and up. May be a little dark for less mature readers. The movie is coming next year with Sophie Nelisse and her little sister playing Molly and Heather.

Jae Yes, I read this book when I was in elementary school (1-4 grade, I don't remember the exact year) I was not scared or "traumatized".

Hutch I got this book in 4th grade and read it and re-read it obsessively. Even today I have several passages memorized. I think it's fine for children.

Melissa It is written for children. I think I originally read this between grades 4 and 6 or so. Excellent read. I ended up reading it multiple times. If you liked this try Time Windows by Reiss.

TC Not only was this my favorite book when I was 10, but it was so memorable, that at 40 I still find myself thinking about it. When my son is 10, I look forward to giving it to him to read!
