Definitely a FABULOUS book! Loved every moment of it!

I would say the giver, tale of despereaux, and the bridge to terabithia.

I just finished that today and i loved it! Good book to recommend.

especially the giver. If you haven't read that yet, don't be deterred by its short length, its still a great read. I read it for the first time a month ago (I'm 15 now) and sure it took me about half a day, but I loved every moment of it.

In the Kingdom of Ice, by Hampton Sides.
This book isn't your normal non-fiction book. I'll use the book 1776 as an example- in this book about the revolutionary war, the author uses a plethora f facts and quotes and documents to make the exciting seem like it was exciting, but it doesn't give you the edge of your seat can't put the book down when is the next episode of scandal kind of butterflies sensation in the stomach. Unfortunatley, so much of history was so exciting, and yes these authors make it sound cool but there's no Suspense, no live action, no real character relationships. Everything is just kind of stale.
However, and I don't know how Hampton Sides did it, In the Kingdom of Ice was one of the hardest books to put down of my life. I read it at summer camp, and I found myself reluctant to do some of my favorite activities in place of reading this book. Cassandra Clare and J.K. Rowling and Sarah J. Maas write in a way where you don't want to put the book down because it's so good, whereas Hampton Sides writes in such a way so you don't want to put the book down sure because its good but also because you can't. You can't wait to find out what happens to the crew. Will they overcome? Will they all die?
This is a book based on a little-known story, so provided you don't look up the wiki page on the events, the suspense can still be real.

I LOVE The Trone Of Glass series!!!!!! Queen Of Shadows was AWESOME too!!!!
