Hey guys. I just finished Queen of Shadows last week and haven't picked up a book since. I need some help, and I love fantasy, so I would really appreciate book recommendations from anyone willing!

This recommendation isn't up the high-fantasy alley, but it's an amazing read! It's "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline. It's very nerdy and it has a "The Westing Game" vibe that I just loved throughout the story :) however, I believe that it's considered adult fiction, so be careful with that if your parents aren't okay with it! (there aren't any sex scenes or anything like that in it though)
I would suggest my new favourite book and if you hadn't read it yet, you have too. Doon by Carey Corp, Lorie Langdon
I'd recommend Graceling by Kristin Cashore :) it has a kick-ass heroine, awesome romance, and such a unique plot! You could also try picking up Falling Kingdoms by (Megan?) Rhodes; it's told from several perspectives, and has soooo many plot twists...it's really good!
Rachel wrote: "I'm reading a Court of Thorns and Roses and I love it!!!"Definitely a FABULOUS book! Loved every moment of it!
If you haven't read it yet I would suggest "Kiss of Deception" by Mary E Pearson. It's pretty good. Or another GREAT series is the Poison Study trilogy by Maria V Snyder. Loved every moment of that trilogy!
All of those sound amazing! I'll definitely be looking for those. I've hear of Ready Player One and think it'd be reall interesting so I think I'll start it as soon as I can get my hands on it.
I recommened Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch! It's high-fantasy and the sequel comes out in october:-)
I highly recommend the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and the Young Elites by Marie Lu for high fantasy books. Ransom Riggs' Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is also a great book series, and the movie will be coming out next year!
I always recommend "Theft Of Swords" by Michael Sullivan. It's not YA and it is a big book but it's a super easy read and it's a lot of fun. It's my favorite book series of all time.
Bella wrote: do you have any recommendations for any books that have won the John newbery medal I would say the giver, tale of despereaux, and the bridge to terabithia.
I would recommend the "miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children" series and the third book is coming out in a few days (if I'm correctly)!!

Bella wrote: "do you have any recommendations for any books that have won the John newbery medal"especially the giver. If you haven't read that yet, don't be deterred by its short length, its still a great read. I read it for the first time a month ago (I'm 15 now) and sure it took me about half a day, but I loved every moment of it.
Okay, a good book recommendation? A book you won't be able to put down? I may be able to be of assistance. Judging by some of these recommendations(all very good), I sort of picked up that this crowd isn't to big on non-fiction. Now, I know that through the keyboard, without being face to face, there may be little chance of me being able to persuade you to pursue the book I have in mind, but it really is my most favorite book ever, and I doubt anybody could dislike it.In the Kingdom of Ice, by Hampton Sides.
This book isn't your normal non-fiction book. I'll use the book 1776 as an example- in this book about the revolutionary war, the author uses a plethora f facts and quotes and documents to make the exciting seem like it was exciting, but it doesn't give you the edge of your seat can't put the book down when is the next episode of scandal kind of butterflies sensation in the stomach. Unfortunatley, so much of history was so exciting, and yes these authors make it sound cool but there's no Suspense, no live action, no real character relationships. Everything is just kind of stale.
However, and I don't know how Hampton Sides did it, In the Kingdom of Ice was one of the hardest books to put down of my life. I read it at summer camp, and I found myself reluctant to do some of my favorite activities in place of reading this book. Cassandra Clare and J.K. Rowling and Sarah J. Maas write in a way where you don't want to put the book down because it's so good, whereas Hampton Sides writes in such a way so you don't want to put the book down sure because its good but also because you can't. You can't wait to find out what happens to the crew. Will they overcome? Will they all die?
This is a book based on a little-known story, so provided you don't look up the wiki page on the events, the suspense can still be real.
A fantasy book that I have just read and loved was 'Sabriel' by Garth Nix. Its the first book in a trilogy and it was fantastic, highly recommend!
The Program. It's a two book series about a suicide epidemic and to "cure" you, you have to go through the the program where they erase all your memories.
The Falling Kingdoms series, the Winner's Curse, I've only heard amazing things about each of them and I really want to read them.

I LOVE The Trone Of Glass series!!!!!! Queen Of Shadows was AWESOME too!!!!
if you havent read An Ember In An Ash GO READ IT NOW!!!!!
As far as fantasy goes, I'll second the recommendation for the Grisha trilogy and add the Study Series by Maria V. Snyder, the Bound Trilogy by Kate Sparkesand The Warrior Chronicles by K.F. Breene.
