Just ordered a copy of From the Ashes of Angels: The Forbidden Legacy of a Fallen Race by Andrew Collins. Looks really good. Description: "In mythology angels are beings of great beauty and intelligence - messengers of God who fell from grace through lust and pride.
The truth, however, is even more remarkable ....
Ancient texts speak of how angels known as Watchers lusted after mortal women who subsequently gave birth to giant offspring referred to as Nephilim. They also record how these apparently physical beings revealed to mankind the forbidden arts and sciences of heaven. Through their actions these clearly human angels, and their Nephilim sons, were sought out and either incarcerated or put to death by those Watchers still loyal to heaven. Any remnants of this fallen race were then swept away by the Great Flood during the age of Noah.
What do these stories represent? What do they preserve? What, or who, were the angels and Watchers of heaven? In FROM THE ASHES OF ANGELS Andrew Collins demonstrates how the stories behind the fall of the Watchers appear to echo the faded memory of real events in a distant epoch when human angels openly trafficked with mortal kind. In a personal quest that crosses from Israel to Babylon, Iran, Turkey, Kurdistan and finally into Egypt, the author traces the existence of a powerful lost race completely neglected by the pages of history.
It also shows that these human angels - described as tall, with white hair, burning eyes and viper-like faces - may well have originated in Egypt and been responsible for the construction of the Great Sphinx and the other megalithic monuments along the Nile shortly before the cataclysms that accompanied the end of the last Ice Age.
THE FOUNDERS OF CIVILISATION
Assembling clues from archaeology, mythology and religion, the book puts forward the hypothesis that Eden, 'heaven' and 'paradise' were all a single geographical area in Turkish Kurdistan. This same region was seen in Near Eastern mythologies as the abode of the gods, the realm of the immortals and the domain of angels. Here the Watchers would appear to have remained in virtual isolation before gradually integrating with developing human society on the plains below. Sumer, Akkad and Iran may all have developed as a result of the Watcher's influence on the rise of civilisation.
Is the memory of the Watchers also behind the stories of open contact between the gods and goddesses of Sumer and Akkad and mortal kind, as well as the accounts of wars with bird-like demons, devils and vampires named Edimmu who lived in underworld domains beneath the sands of ancient Iraq?
The evidence suggests the answer is yes ...

This ties in with ideas in The secret History of the World by Johnathan Black/Mark Booth. Interesting to note too that in Islamic history Lucifer is Iblis, a djinn. The description of the djinn fits that of angels too. To many it is believed that it was the jinn that built the pyramids.
I think it's an interesting topic. I know some witches who actually believe only people with what they call "witch blood" are real witches, every other "witch" is a wannabe. However they don't believe that all people are the fallen ones, they believe that only the ones with 'witch blood' belong to the fallen ones.
What are your own experiences and thought on it? Do you believe it?

"Two hundred of the ‘fallen angels’ descended from the heavenly realm on to the summit of Mount Hermon and they were so smitten by the beauty of human women that, using their new material bodies, they had sex with them. This further incurred Yahweh’s wrath and, according to the Bible, the consequence of this miscegenation between the Fallen Ones and mortals led to the creation of half-angelic, half-human offspring (Genesis 6:4).
These children were called the Nefelim or Nephilim and they were the giant race that once inhabited Old Earth. The fallen angels taught their wives and children a variety of new technological skills, magical knowledge and occult wisdom. This suggests that psychic abilities and magical powers were originally an ancient inheritance from the angelic realm given to early humans. In the Luciferian tradition this is known in spiritual and metaphorical terms as the ‘witch blood’, ‘elven blood’ or ‘faery blood’ that is possessed by witches and wizards.
In the Book of Enoch it says that the leader of the fallen angels was called Azazel, and he is often identified with Lucifer (the Lightbringer) or Lumiel (‘the light of God’). He taught men to forge swords and make shields and breastplates (body armour). Azazel also taught them metallurgy and how to mine from the earth and use different metals. To the women he taught the art of making bracelets, ornaments, rings and necklaces from precious metals and stones. He also showed them how to ‘beautify their eyelids’ with kohl and the use of cosmetic tricks to attract and seduce the opposite sex. From these practices Enoch says there came much ‘godlessness’ and men and women committed fornication, were led astray and became corrupt in their ways.
This was the basis for the early Church condemning the fallen angels for teaching women to make necklaces from pieces of gold and bracelets for their arms. St Paul said that women should cover their head in the synagogue (Corinthians: 11:5-6). This was because the fallen angels were supposed to be attracted to human females with long flowing hair. The custom of women covering their hair in churches is still found in Roman Catholicism and also in the customs of Islam.
The fallen angel Shemyaza, another form of Azazel, is said by Enoch to have taught humans the use of root cuttings and the magical art of enchantment; the fallen angel Armaros taught the resolving (banishing) of enchantments; Baraqijal taught astrology; Kokabiel, the knowledge of the constellations (astronomy); Chazaqiel, the knowledge of the clouds and the sky (weather lore and divination); Shamsiel, the signs of the sun (the solar mysteries); Sariel the courses of the moon (the lunar cycles used in horticulture and agriculture and the esoteric lunar mysteries); Penemuel instructed humans in the art of writing and reading; and Kashdejan taught the diagnosis and healing of diseases and the science of medicine."

This article is interesting for it's explanations and mentioning of the original pagan pantheon (Greek in this case but all goes back to Sumer). Not too sure about the whole food/cooking/raw foods stuff towards the end.

I've tried to avoid the overtly Christian links, but of course that's difficult given the topic and the all important Book of Enoch.
Good and evil in the fallen angels. Many Irish believe that the fairies fell, being too bad for heaven and too good for hell. They were a second fall.
Another question posed here, in a post towards the end of page 2 of this link, are we too the fallen? (Cutting and pasting directly from :http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/t...)

We are all in hell. We are the living dead. We are the zombie apocalypse.
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living....
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. (Luke 15)"
