Has anybody actually published a piece of writing? If so, what is it?

K.W. Benton | 1 comments By "actually published" do you mean through a publisher or a physical book.
I self published and my book is "Over Cast" By K.W. Benton

J.M. Johnson (jmjohnson) | 5 comments I'm currently working on two YA series. I have the first book in each published:
The Runner (Avi Bloom, #1) by J.M. Johnson
Rubicon by J.M. Johnson
I've self-published both of these and I'm always willing to help others through the process.

Thanks again for all your help. I cannot wait to get a novel self published. I want to finish the one I am currently working on because I have 4 more novels planned.

Wendi Lee (wendimlee) | 11 comments Hello! I just published my first YA novel last Friday. The book is called 'The End of You and Me.'

http://www.amazon.com/End-You-Me-Wend...

I'm busy advertising, researching how to advertise, and writing my next novel. My fear is the advertising end of it will eat into my writing time (I work full time so don't have a lot of it to begin with!).

TRL Boyd (trlboyd) | 2 comments Hi All, my name is Tara and I self-published a little christmas book last year named Why is there a fairy on top of my christmas tree. It didn't do very well at all. I think 3 people bought it but I recently made it free for a week on amazon and 49 people downloaded my little christmas book. I was so excited that people I don't know were reading my work that I self published the prologue of my YA Paranormal series Heavenly Incantation - the Nyora Light series and put that up for free. 40 odd people downloaded that too. I can't wait to upload the full manuscript. My biggest goal is to get some honest feedback. Any suggestions?

Lisa Frankel | 26 comments So this may not be a big deal, but someone I don't know just gave my book 5 stars. I didn't really promote or advertise my book a year ago, so this rating out of nowhere just felt really inspiring! I just had to share.

Inda (indaherwood) | 19 comments Nothing gives you more inspiration to write than to see someone actually like your work. Makes you feel like someone is finally taking recognition. I totally know the feeling @Lisa!

I recently self-published my first book, Paralyzed Dreams. It's gotten amazing support so far! I'd love to help others through the self-publishing process.

Jessica Gadziala (jessicagadziala) I have three books self-published (available through amazon) right now. Two are romance, one is a YA fantasy (the first in a series).

message 16: by Kendall (new)

Kendall Schafer | 3 comments I have one published contemporary literary YA An Otherwise Perfect Plan: A novel of Mystery, Love, and Chocolate that Defies Description published, and its available on as an eBook on Amazon, and in physical form both at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, bookshop.org (supports INDIE bookshops) and most everywhere physical books are sold.

I've gotten some stellar reviews, including a rare GET IT Verdict from Kirkus, and MUST READS from both Midwest Book Review and Reedsy Discovery and am still struggling to get anyone to pay attention to it. Love to talk to other authors who have had more success getting sales and awareness out of the process...
