Suggestions for 9th Mini-poll
A book featuring a fictional trickster. Examples might include: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...
A book that was released exactly 100 years before the year you were born. (eg. if you were born in 1992, then you should read a book that came out in 1892)

I really like this one!
Marina wrote: "A book that makes you pee your pants"This is great! I nearly spit my drink out when I read it.
Some of the books I like are really long, and although I'm a slower reader, my favourite book this year was the 500+ page book. In keeping with challenging ourselves, but also to keep it accessible to everyone who may not want to tackle a doorstop I'm suggesting:
A book longer than the longest book you read last year
I'm loving that we have some new types of suggestions instead of the ones we've had for the last 8 mini-polls!
Michelle wrote: "A Greek or Roman classic"I love this idea, since the "Odyssey" is one of my favorites.
I don't know if this has already been suggested - A childhood classic, i.e. Anne of Green Gables, Black Beauty, The Secret Garden, etc
Kelly > Do you mind if it's a blue spine or cover? Some people use e-books so that may dissuade them from including it. Then people can choose either one.
2 more :)
If we don't get those last two, then we can go ahead and open it up to the group at 1:00pm EST

The highest-rated book on your to-read list.P.S. Maybe there should be a poll on some of the "redundant" categories that were voted in (ie. a book on your to-read list) since there are a couple with more stringent qualifications already (ie. the 16th book on your to-read list). I'm ok with trying to read books with similar qualifications, but if we have too many topics already, maybe it would be ok to eliminate the more general ones?

If you would prefer, I can make a note in the poll that if that topic (The highest-rated book on your to-read list) gets voted through, then it would replace "a book from your to-read list"
That would leave us with "the 16th book" and "the highest rated book" on your TBR list.

Manda wrote: "Is it Thursday yet? I'm eager to know the results!"Same! I get so impatient once the actual poll is up. I get too excited to find out the results!

I'm glad I'm not the only one :D
I also started my list! Well, kind of, I just write down books that would fit in the categories, I'm going to make my choices later...
I've also started on my 2016 list. Another fresh list of books I want to read - can't resist the temptation :)
Glad we were such a good influence on you Laura! I've gotten my list started as well. I wasn't sure if i was going to participate at first but once I started my list I got excited. Some I have decided on and some I have several possibilities an will decide once out list is complete.
I also gave in and created a thread for you to post your plan or discuss certain themes. So hopefully that helps :)

Rules:
- One suggestion per poll per user
- If you suggested a topic for the 7th mini-poll, please wait 2 days before suggesting a topic for this poll.
- Suggestions for each poll will be open for one week (or until 20 suggestions are received) and then opened up for voting.
Now that we are over halfway done (!) with the list, it's becoming more important to consider past selections. Please take a look at the current list before suggesting/voting.
We already have topics surrounding:
- Time
- Book series
- Titles
- Personal "To-read" lists
- Challenges/recommendations/lists/awards
- Authors
I am not prohibiting these suggestions since that is the purpose of expressing opinions through voting. But now's the time to really be creative, as it becomes more and more challenging to come up with unique ideas.
