Ms. Lau | 1 comments What book would you recommend that class members read and WHY? What type of reader would enjoy the book?

message 2: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 2 comments I love the author Wendy Mass . She has a great command of the English language, and all of her plot lines are very interesting yet relatable.

Kade | 1 comments Even though I just started the book, I absolutely love Divergent. I had saw the movie before I read the book, and even though the movie still has the same plot points, it doesn't show Tris's emotions and feeling as well. The movie also doesn't have the descriptions that the book has. Tris is an awesome main character that makes the book even more awesome.

Brendan | 1 comments The The Boy on the Wooden Box was a great book. It was a great and inspiring story. It showed a boys mental and physical strength and showing how Mr. Schindler saved so many Jewish lives.

Garret | 1 comments The Andromeda Strain was a great read. It seemed like a very intellectual read and had a compelling plot. It also seemed to connect to the Ebola virus, which was a real problem. This book is great for science fiction fans, like me. Michael Crichton is a great author who was written other great books like Jurassic Park, which is a classic.

I also adore the book The Swap by Megan Shull. Though so many books have characters switching bodies, Shull made it really interesting with her complex characters and descriptive details.

Collin The Giver by Lois Lowry is book that I recommend to all people who like to read about utopia and the future. It is interesting to me to read about how different people will think future cities and society's' will be run. It is a fast read and it is very easy to pick up where you left off.

Harrison | 1 comments I would suggest the book Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand.
It is a very interesting story about a world war II POW

Max | 1 comments I just started reading the book Greenglass House by Kate Milford. I really like it. It is mysterious and interesting in a cold, snowy way. Just one warning: the characters are not who they seem. I recommend Harry Potter Boxset by J.K. Rowling, The Divergent Series Complete Collection by Veronica Roth, and The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxset by Suzanne Collins.

message 10: by Iris (new)

Iris | 1 comments The Artemis Fowl series as a whole is really good, but my favorite of them all is The Eternity Code, the third one in the series. It's a fantasy series, and there's a bunch of magic throughout all eight books. However, The Eternity Code also has some really well-written character development and a great antagonist. The Eternity Code is the best, but you should also read the entire series.

William G | 1 comments I would suggest reading What Waits in the Woods. I would suggest this because it is a very suspenseful/scary book that you will not put down. It is full of action and has a great story line.

message 12: by Sophie (new)

Sophie | 1 comments I just started reading the bookJefferson's Sons it is a good book so far.

message 13: by Sofia (new)

Sofia Ender's Game Ender's Game was an incredible book. I do feel like it was a little bit slow at the early middle of the book, but some other people like the part the best. The very end of the book just connects all of the dots and it's one of those "Oh!" moments. I wasn't extremely eager to read Ender's Game, but now I regret not reading this book sooner.

message 14: by Kobe (new)

Kobe | 1 comments I really like the book Ten

message 15: by Uma (new)

Uma | 1 comments I love the Ender's Game series (it's science fiction) and I'm aware Sofia has already recommended a book from it, but I'd like to also add Ender's Shadow. I feel this book is equally, or even better than Ender's Game and it is full of suspenseful plot twists. It was such an engaging book and I found the main character so mesmerizingly brilliant.
