I really enjoyed this book and can see why my friend recommended it to me. A cyborg twist on Cinderella was certainly interesting. It was familiar enough that you could pick out the fairy tale elements but transformed enough that it felt fresh.

Charlotte, did you feel the ending was too fast and too abrupt...I was happily reading a long and wham! the book ended...just like Lonesome Dove...I had to go back and reread the ending to see if I missed something...overall, I really enjoyed the book...
Yes, it was a very abrupt ending! I had to keep in mind that it was the first in a series but most series books still contain a complete story with some threads left over to carry on with but this one just left the entire plot wide open.
I am really enjoying this series and popping them into categories. I love old stories retold such as Wicked, and Dorothy must Die.
