Hopefully I'll have some fun announcements to share with you all soon (such as the release date of book 2), so I figured I'd better add this topic. :)

Okay, this isn't so much as an announcement but a thank you. You guys are awesome, just so you know. As some of you know, I went to a writer's conference a little over a week ago. At the writer's conference, I went to a class for indie authors and part of the time we swapped information on things that were working for us. I mentioned that I had a group of fans on Goodreads who have a lot of fun chatting on this discussion board. The rest of the room was floored. Apparently, it's not normal. So here's a virtual hug to all of you for being such awesome fans. :)

Announcements time! Later this week, I'm going to officially announce the release date for Deny (The Blades of Acktar Book 2) on my blog, but you guys are going to get the release date early. It's 11/30! Less than two months away! What is your favorite part of a book launch (aside from getting the next book)?
Yay!!! I love finding out what the cover looks like and the description on the back. Also, I love joining blog tours for new books if there's one. Thanks for telling us early. This is so great. Maybe I'll get it for Christmas... :-D

Yaaay! I'm so excited! I love reading everyone's responses and reviews of the book, especially right after I finish reading it myself.
I'm curious to see what the cover looks like too! My cover designer is still working on it, so even I haven't seen it yet. ;)

This is totally AWESOME!!! I CAN NOT WAIT!!! I was sure it was going to be next year (which is not to far way actually) this is an awesome surprise!
*dances in a happy little circle* When I read that, I squealed for like two minutes. I'm sure my sisters thought I was in immense pain or something. Ehehe. But that really isn't too far away! :D I'm so excited now.
I just added Deny to Goodreads so everyone can start adding it. My cover designer is hoping to have the front cover done shortly, so I'll soon have a cover reveal. And it's time to start thinking about putting together a launch team! Eep! Anyway, my other big announcement is that Dare is going to be turned into an audiobook! I found a narrator for it, and he's already begun production. He's hoping to have the first draft of the production done by 11/30 for me to proof, so the audiobook should be available sometime in December or perhaps January. I'm really excited, and I think you all are going to love it. :)
Lastly, I started a Questions discussion thread on here. I'd like to do a series of character interviews again, so this is your chance to ask the characters anything, and I'll force them to answer (without giving away too many spoilers).

Awesome!!! I love to get audiobooks to get my dad read them. He takes years to read a book, but if you give him an audiobook...he'll be done with it in a week or two.Deny! *squeals*

My dad and brothers are the same way. They pretty much only read if they can get an audiobook. One of the reasons I choose to indie publish was the ability to make sure I got audiobook versions of my books. So I'm pretty excited about it. There was a lot of squealing involved when the narrator I'd approached contacted me that he was willing to do it.

I can't wait to hear the full thing! The narrator's audition was pretty spectacular. I was getting chills hearing how he did Leith's voice. I'll probably eventually share a small segment of the audiobook when it gets closer to its release to get everyone as excited about it as I am.

Sounds like a lot of people are eager to be a part of this launch team! I'm still figuring out how I want to put it together. Last time, I did a fairly casual blog tour, but not really a launch team.

This is so exciting I'm totally going to add Deny right now! Questions? For the Characters!! I'll have to think of some real juicy ones!! How does a launch team work?
Okay, I've set up a link for the form for my launch team. I'm going to be putting this link into my newsletter tonight, but you guys are getting it first. But first, about the launch team. The launch team will be expected to post a review of the book, promote it frequently across whatever social media platforms they have, and invite people to the Facebook party. Having a blog isn't necessary, though I'd like a few of the launch team to have blogs.
In exchange for all this hard work, the launch team will get an ARC copy of Deny, a copy of the final ebook when it releases, their names in the acknowledgements section in the back of the book, and launch team member only giveaways (as well as a cool, members only Facebook page).
If you don't think you have time to commit to being part of the launch team but would still like an ARC copy to review the book, post about it on your blog, or do other limited promotion, please contact me through Facebook, Goodreads, or my contact page on my blog and we'll work something out.

The Cover is so beautiful Tricia!!! I cant wait till the release date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Alyssa your so lucky to being reading Dare so close to the release date of book number 2. That way you don't have to remain in agony waiting quite as long. But then... perhaps reading book number two will be even more agonizing then anxious waiting. (I'm a little nervous about what's going to happen to the characters I've grown to love in book number two)
