Due to my husband's stroke on 9/6, I'm way behind on reading, but I do hope to read our group reads with you that are interested. Hubby is doing very good ... starts speech therapy on Monday. I take books and crocheting with me for his appointments. :-)
Glad to hear your husband is on the mend. My husband and I are heading up to the north woods for a cabin vacation on a lake. No internet ... but guess what I'll be reading? LOL
What is it about vacationing in the woods? We also had to cut our vacay short due to a medical emergency. So I am also behind on reading ... but I should get to it this week. How's the speech therapy going for your hubby?
Oh, I'm so sorry. Let's hope this trend ends with us. He's doing ok. The first session was hard ... An evaluation of his status. Pretty depressing. Then we started working on brain exercises at the next one. Very uplifting. She said that his words are still there. The fact that he can say some means he hadn't lost them. We just have to work the brain and find a new way to them around the damaged areas. It appears to be as exhausting as physical therapy.

I had a massive nose bleed Wednesday morning and the little town (pop 1100) closest to our cabin had just a basic Emergency service. So they put in a "rhino rocket" (a sort of tampon for your nose) and told me to go see an ENT specialist. End of vacation .. packed up the car and made the 4.5 hour drive back to Milwaukee that same day. Saw ENT the next day where they cauterized the blood vessel and put in Surgicel to help the clotting. I've been at home just "resting & relaxing" (kinda what we would be doing in the north wood ... just not quite so scenic)
Oh ... and about the book ... I'm having a hard time getting into it. Seems very slow moving for a mystery.
I haven't started it yet. Trying to finish a library book and an Amazon prime one by tomorrow.
Glad you're better. Nosebleeds are scary.

Haven't started it yet. Hubby & I went to the lake for the weekend. He enjoyed it very much & is talking more and more.
I did get to read quite a bit. Finished 2 others. Should start this one this week.

I finished but was very disappointed. The first thing I look for in a mystery is a fast pace and action. This didn't fit that formula very well.On the other hand, I do like Lord Peter Wimsey as a continuing character. I'm assuming the premise of his going incognito to assist is Scotland Yard Inspector brother-in-law with the investigation is something that is used in the other books as well.
I think the reason this is on the 100 books list (and also on the 1000 Books You Must Read Before you Die) is because of the depiction of the advertising agency business.
The cricket chapter nearly did me in ...
