Girl .. I will make time out of thin air *nudge nudge wink wink*

GUYS GUYS
OH CRAP
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW STUPID AND BAD AND AWFUL I FEEL.

I still haven't finished the book.
I know. You guys have finished it, + I didn't do any discussions.

I FEEL SO BAD OMG.

WHY THIS HAPPENED?
UNEARTHLY HAPPENED.

So my copy of Unearthly arrived last Saturday, and since then I have NOT been able to get my eyes off it. It was just SO SO GOOD. It was a perfect book and I completely forgot about S&B Read Along because of that.

Seriously, I'm so so sorry. I feel like crap.
I still have to finish S&B. I want to discuss something but I don't know what to. I feel like I've missed something huge.. I didn't even receive any emails from Greads or anything andt here's this very very bad feeling and I just...
ARGH WHY AM I RAMBLING.

Anyways. I'm still on Chapter 22, and all I can say is- I'M LOVING IT.

I'm so glad the Darkling turned out to be evil. Cuz of course, his name itself sounds DARK AND EVIL AND BADASS. So happy he's evil MUHAHA I SOUND WEIRD.

Mal. I still don't know what to think about him. I never really bothered to like him before, but seeing him there, broken and so sad, I felt so bad for him.

And then, Again he comes to help her. Even then, I didn't know whether to like him or not, but he seemed so caring and WHEN HE WAS JAILED :( OMG I FELT SO SO BAD AND I DID NOT SHIP HIM WITH ALINA, BUT THOSE PARTS WERE REALLY SAD.

I don't know who to ship Alina with. I feel like she'll do better on her own. I don't know.

So far, its amazing. I'm eager to finish this. Still sad that I kinda missed the read along.

I'll update when I'm done with the book :(

don't worry about it kitkat ..

I tell you .. the way it's written .. you don't know if the darkling is bad for real or if there's a plot twist to the plot twist XD ..

Mal or darkling?? I don't really know .. I feel like more development is needed on that topic ..

At first I was like just because she grew up with mal and had feelings for him doesn't mean she'll end up with him .. he was a jerk .. and it took him losing her to realize it .. maybe i'm biased since i'm kinda cynical when it comes to these stuff .. but later with the darkling's "pretend" .. she'd had to have developed another pull to him .. a fact that i admire how mal was like I love even the part of you that loves him .. so bonus points for that tracker boy ..

now .. since i'm a moron .. and have a think for bad boys .. I think i'm gonna trust the damned darkling still .. a lot can happen in the next 2 books .. you never know ..

Ok so I've brought this up before .. but with shatter me I had this gut ..
and i'm not sure if you guys finished it or read it to begin with so I don't want to spoil you (YOU'VE BEEN WARNED)
(view spoiler)

So again .. don't worry kitkat about this read along .. the good news is .. WE'RE DOING ANOTHER ONE THIS MARCH 27th ON SIEGE AND STORM … YAAAAAAAY

Hahah I just finished the book, and it was amazing!
I still do love The Darkling, but not just with Alina.

I still haven't read Shatter Me, but I really want to, even though MANY people have warned me that its a bad book.

I really had A LOT of fun reading this along with you guys, and again, I'm so so sorry for kinda running ahead and stopping and stuff.
Since this is my first time doing a read-along (all of our first times I suppose?) I got very confused and puzzled.
But yeah, trust me, it won't happen again. I promise we'll read it along properly and discuss and stuff!

But overall, this was an awesome experience and YAYAY ANOTHER READ ALONG!

SO HAPPY :D CAN'T WAIT

lol awesome .. gives me time to buy it and stuff <3 ..

About shatter me .. I liked a lot of paragraphs .. and sometimes you'd be confused and exasperated with how things turn out .. it's not really awesome when it comes to action and stuff like that .. but for me I really really really loved the characters .. seriously .. check out booktuber reviews .. I loved the series .. maybe it's not epic to everyone .. but I loved it .. maybe you will too :)

The thing about Shatter me is that Julliete is such a frustrating narrator. Being in her head was agony. In a book, if you dont like the narrator, you wont like the book as a whole.

I really liked Warner, though. In Destroy me (the novella), I found that I enjoyed it a lot. So really, my problem isnt the sketchy world building or the writing style (okay, this may be one of the problems), because all along, it was Julliete.

And also: Julliete+Adam. So boring...So, So boring... So stupid...

But I dont know about you, Poline. You may or may not like it. But you'll never know unless you try.

lol .. so i take it you haven't read ignite me yet ..

Like I said .. it had great character development

Bookaholic (reads every mortal thing) (anastasya) | 91 comments Mod
No, I havent. I had endured enough of Julliete's crap for the first two, but I read the spoilers for Ignite me and I cant say Im sad.

I really like Warner, so finding out that Julliete finally came to her senses and dumped that asshat, I was pleased.

well she dumped him in the second book .. that's when you see a glimpse of how she's starting to grew up a bit .. but the third book was a surprise honestly .. anywho ..

Warner was sort of the reason why I kept going .. but still i was agitated with the 3rd book .. so many more things needed explanation .. but still I had fun lol ..

Have you guys read the Mara dyer books?

Bookaholic (reads every mortal thing) (anastasya) | 91 comments Mod
Yup. I own the first two and I swear, whenever I see it, I always feel like re-reading it. Although many people (Including Poline), strangely, I didnt feel confused. I loved it. You might too.

Bookaholic (reads every mortal thing) (anastasya) | 91 comments Mod
Its really good. But seriouly, I didnt find it confusing

message 16: by Mana (new)

Mana | 113 comments Mod
LOL .. no I've read them .. talk about cliff hangers huh .. it wasn't confusing .. It was like a mystery thriller with a fantasy twist .. I'm just turning this into book discussions XD

Bookaholic (reads every mortal thing) (anastasya) | 91 comments Mod
That and It had a very contemporary feel to it.
