John Robin (john_robin) | 299 comments This thread is a great place for us to list books that could use the support of the community. For those of us looking to use our credits, or to use affiliate links in Goodwill Train 2.0, this can be a useful resource for us when looking for great books to back with credit.

Please put 'em here -- the more the better for when we want to spread the love.

Here's another:

It's a noir detective tale, but with elves and other magical creatures wandering about in the 40's! I just love the concept!!

p.s. - Should the Unsolicited Promotions thread be combined with this one? (not sure if that's even possible, but I thought I'd mention it)

message 4: by Aitor (new)

Aitor Ibarra | 23 comments This graphic novel has only 5 pre-orders.

Nickii Fowler | 1 comments I'm new to Inkshares, and finding it difficult to get people to even look at my book, let alone preorder.

E.K Jacobs I would love to recommend Beyond The Code by Kelsey Rae Barthel. It is really well written and deserves to be published. Here's the link.

Than..."

One thing I would suggest is to fill out the About section with maybe one or two paragraphs about the book. Think along the lines of the sort of blurbs you would find on the back of a book.

Other than that its incredibly hard, next to impossible to fund entirely within Inkshares based on most people's experience. An important step in the process is actively pitching to people outside of the Inkshares website. You may have already taken this step, but if you haven't then you should start direct messaging people you know or even talking to them in person about the book and how they can support it by preordering on Inkshares and/or recommending it to other people they know as well.

I hope you find what little advice I had to offer helpful, and I hope you the best of luck in your campaign.

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) I stumbled across some excellent new sci-fi stories that are entered in the most recent Nerdist Contest, and I cannot recommend them enough!

Phase Three
I need this book in my hands, because, wow . . . what a concept.

Ronald | 6 comments Not Afraid of the Fall: a Memoir by Kyle James.

This book has only a few days left and I believe it can make it to 750 with everyone's help!

message 21: by Amanda (last edited May 23, 2016 03:13PM) (new)

Amanda Orneck (amandaorneck) Guise, Origin could really use followers. He only has two right now and it's a very interesting story reminiscent of Animal in Man:

https://www.inkshares.com/books/origi...

Then there's Upload, which has such a creepy premise that I can't wait to read it. Cyberpunk + murder mystery? Yes please! https://www.inkshares.com/books/uploa...

Finally I just got my copy of Please Press Play because it's totally my jam: https://www.inkshares.com/books/pleas...

Stephen | 1 comments https://inkshares.com/books/the-sleep...

Eight days in for the pre-orders and it's going strong, but the more support the better!

message 23: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orneck (amandaorneck) Stephen, keep in mind this thread is here to share support for projects other than our own. I would like to point you to the Plug your work thread where you can feel free to promote your book.

message 24: by Matthew (new)

Matthew | 1 comments I Am Waltz: (CURRENTLY FUNDING)

Waltz didn’t remember. The fugitive machine felt the Hunters closing in and 16-year-old Kyle was his only chance for freedom.

Sci-Fi, Dystopian, Tech Singularity, Coming of age Story.

message 25: by Landon (new)

Landon Trine (landontrine) | 6 comments New authors to support (that are not me):

M. Robert Randolph with his book "Wings of the Crallow" This is an amazing work of "experimental fiction" and deserves to be funded.

https://www.inkshares.com/m-robert-ra...

Christopher M. Johnson with "Seven Days Dead." This book is not just the same old zombie tale. It takes place in the middle east, the action is realistic, and the characters believable.
