How did you feel about this book series on the big screen? Did it stay true to the books?

I actually haven't read the whole hobbit book. But I loved the movie. And lord of the rings is on my to-read list.
Awesome! They're both really good.
I will save my take on The Hobbit movies for another time, since I'm *still* formulating my opinion on that (It won't be fully formed until I see the last one)But as far as The Lord of the Rings movies go, they were great! My only complaint is Faramir. In the book he was amazing!!! But in the movies he had a total character swap, and I didn't like that. I still like the movies, but I just wish they would have kept Faramir true-er to the book.
