Jake Maynard | 1 comments I got divorced a year ago. I have only seen my kids a handful of times. There was a book that my son and I read together at bedtime than he got from school. I'd really like to find it again.

I cannot for the LIFE of me remember the name or the author, and only very general details. I have looked at the library, asked him about it, searched the internet. I'd love to find the book again so I can buy it for him and perhaps we can read it together again.

Is this the correct forum to post this in? If not please let me know where to post this, and I will post it there instead.

It was a young adult book, maybe a teen book. It was fantasy. All I can remember is that there was a young boy (or maybe a girl, but I think boy), and it was his birthday, and there was something about an anniversary of his sister disappearing, possibly along with someone else. The family treated him like crap because they were too tied up in misery over his disappearing sibling. There was some sort of aunt or old lady who was magic-related. Something about his sibling disappearing at night. There was something left for him, some kind of magical object maybe.

That's about all I can remember. Sorry so vague, and sorry if this is not the right place to post this. But it is driving me nuts.

Anyone who may know what I'm talking about?

Thank you!

Shana (thebigreader) I don't have any idea. I would suggest going to a library reference aid. They are so willing to help me when I only know parts....they do some kind of google searching through their library files.

Brenda Klaassen (librarymom23) I did a search here in Iowa. I did not come up with anything. Sorry.

Natalie | 2 comments It sort of vaguely reminds me of Magyk by Angie Sage, but I could be wrong..
