I'd like to recommed some "oldies" and normal stuff here since I joined.John Grisham: The Innocent Man
Thomas Harris: Hannibal
and anything from Stephen King... maybe his latest "Duma Key"
Storm Front by Jim Butcher
It's the first in the Dresden Files series, but very self-contained.

I just wish the book would be available easily from a book stores here in Finland. In Finnish OR in english (preferably) and in paperback for because books are freaking expensive here in Finland.I'd like to get back on fantasy novels after a long wait. Maybe something light and affordable and new in that concept? ;)
I'm going to suggest Retribution Falls: Tales of the Ketty Jay by Chris Wooding. I'll just paste in here the review that made me want to read it: In a ramshackle far future, when ships fuelled by "atrium" ply the skyways and pirates are opposed by the Coalition Navy, Darien Frey commands the Ketty Jay and its misfit crew. When a raid on a freighter goes horribly wrong the hunt is on for Frey - and what a hunt. Wooding uses every trick to keep the reader on tenterhooks: thrilling action scenes terminate in cliff-hangers and clever reversals of fortune.
If masterful plotting were the book's only attribute, then Retribution Falls would still be a first-rate read. What makes it exceptional is the psychological insight rare in fast-paced, adventure SF. Frey is a fully-rounded character whose selfishness and duplicity undergo a gradual transformation as events cause him to reassess his motivations, as well as to appreciate the qualities of his crew, themselves fascinating individuals. On every level, Retribution Falls is a triumph.
Maybe something from THIS guy Wolfgang Hohlbein. He is one of the most productive german fantasy authors. I'd like to read something from him.
Lamb, by Christopher Moore. A skewed look at the "missing year" of Jesus' life, as told by his best friend, Biff.

I know there were some suggestions to just keep on using the suggested books from previous months, but since it's been a while, I thought I'd ask for some new suggestions.
I've noticed that there are less reponses to newer books, which I totally understand. Libraries will have limited copies of newer stuff, if at all, and with the economy the way it is, it's not always an option to buy the newest hardback at $25. This is not to say that new books will not be included in the polls, I just thought it would be something to think about.
Anyway, sorry for the lack in activity. The past couple of months have been a little insane, but I'm hoping to get back to relative normalcy... and more reading!
PS, Kelly has already suggested The Occurscript, and it will be included in this month's poll.
