Which book did you choose, and why?! Is it one of your favorites? Did you never get to read it as a kid? Tell us any ole thought you have regarding your book of choice.

Shannon | 12 comments I chose The Wonderful Wizard of Oz-- it was one of the only ones I hadn't read. It's magical!

Oooh, love that one!!

Not a children's book but by one of the authors - I just read the new Judy Blume. Anyone else? I loved it.

Shannon | 12 comments I've not read her new one, but I've always loved Judy Blume. She does such a great job of writing about controversial, but very real, topics.

Also, I'm now working my way through the other Wizard of Oz books, so that's great. I always liked the movie but, as is the norm, I love the books even more!

Maiju | 8 comments I just found online and read the Grimm stories of Snow White and Rose Red and also Rapunzel.

I've got so much to read at the moment that it's nice to pick something short! I also always have Andersen's tales next to my bed, so I'm going to read the Little Matchgirl as well.

Laura Lawson | 12 comments I was a little swamped this month so read the Grimm's version of Rapunzel as I had never read it before. I want to read so many of there though and will probably be reading a few of these as soon as things die down.
For Rapunzel I didn't know "original" but really ended up being surprised that it very closely matched Into the Woods!

Lieselotte | 14 comments I'm reading Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I've never read Through the Looking Glass but since Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite books, I have high expectations for it :)

When I was little I had 3 of the Wizard of Oz books (I think from Costco and I cant remember which!) but I remember them being so fascinating and bizarre!

I read Rapunzel as well, and you're right about the Into the Woods bit! I find that fascinating, because in the stage musical, (spoilers) Rapunzel gets squished by the giant. I was angry when Disney decided not to stick to the original, but knowing they forwent it for the ACTUAL original story makes it a little better!
