Steven (tbones) | 592 comments stereo headphones :O) Stephen King's The Mist is an awesome one to listen to. It's done more like an old radio show with surround sound.

Elaine (elaine1221) | 15 comments I have never listented to an audiobook, although I did love to listen to "Grimms Fairy Tales" as a child on the record player while going to sleep. Can I d/l audiobooks free from anywhere just to try? Help please!!

Steven (tbones) | 592 comments Elaine, audibles has a monthly free trial and you get some free stuff to try out. Some libraries carry them now too. You should see if Goodreads has a trading or borrowing program for these too. Some new authors might give you a free sample as well. As for The Mist, Alicia, it is the Stephen King story that they made into a film finally, but this is a recorded, acted out with all the sound effects type of audiobook ...you will love it and want more like it :o)

Steven (tbones) | 592 comments I could say Audible but there may be some better places for lower prices. I have actually found some great deals at thrift stores and even Goodwill. Yard sale season is coming up too so check around. Audibles has a free monthly trial thing you could try out and see what you like with as well.

Steven (tbones) | 592 comments Yard sale weather is my favorite time of year and I usually find some awesome deals which works great for my family and friends cause after I read most of what I buy, I ship it off to the next person on my list that might enjoy it, and everyone loves getting surprises in the mail...that don't contain bills :O)

Angie | 225 comments I put some more up this morning but I've not really listened to any audio books apart from one. And its a bit of a strange one!! It Nick Caves own reading of The Death of Bunny Munro: A Novel. Its set to some of his music which I think is awesome:D so if anyone can recommend any audio books it'll be great:-)
