stereo headphones :O) Stephen King's The Mist is an awesome one to listen to. It's done more like an old radio show with surround sound.
another two audiobooks I am recommending right now is J.Z.Colby's Nebador series and Deborah Ledford's Crescendo.
I have never listented to an audiobook, although I did love to listen to "Grimms Fairy Tales" as a child on the record player while going to sleep. Can I d/l audiobooks free from anywhere just to try? Help please!!
Elaine, audibles has a monthly free trial and you get some free stuff to try out. Some libraries carry them now too. You should see if Goodreads has a trading or borrowing program for these too. Some new authors might give you a free sample as well. As for The Mist, Alicia, it is the Stephen King story that they made into a film finally, but this is a recorded, acted out with all the sound effects type of audiobook ...you will love it and want more like it :o)
I could say Audible but there may be some better places for lower prices. I have actually found some great deals at thrift stores and even Goodwill. Yard sale season is coming up too so check around. Audibles has a free monthly trial thing you could try out and see what you like with as well.
Yard sale weather is my favorite time of year and I usually find some awesome deals which works great for my family and friends cause after I read most of what I buy, I ship it off to the next person on my list that might enjoy it, and everyone loves getting surprises in the mail...that don't contain bills :O)
I've found a brilliant web site that I bet most people know about but just in case some of you guy don't here's the link , there's always free offers and wicked book deals as well. You can sign up and they send you email with all the daily deals.....you can't get better than that:D Its were I get a lot of the freebies that https://www.bookbub.com/home
Yes this is a great site Angie and I also recommend Freebooksy.com for another newsletter that offers freebies :O)
I've not heard of that one so big thanks:-):) The more the better, I love finding deals and the box sets are great value for money and with some excellent authors books in them! I've got lots of them in my own library.
I've just signed up to freebooksy.com Steven so more free book links on the way!! I love posting the good ones:D
I put some more up this morning but I've not really listened to any audio books apart from one. And its a bit of a strange one!! It Nick Caves own reading of The Death of Bunny Munro: A Novel. Its set to some of his music which I think is awesome:D so if anyone can recommend any audio books it'll be great:-)
