Urghh, I don't need any new topics to tempt me even more!I read The Catcher in the Rye because it kept being mentioned in the anime Ghost in the Shell, regarding a quite sociopathic character. I found it nice, but not exceptional. I think I would have enjoyed it much more a few years ago, when I was around the age of the character.
And I'm not going to start on books I want to buy, there's far too much of them for that, I wouldn't even know where to start. You can just check my Wishlist if you really want to know.
Sure thing eheh
Ah right, I had not contemplated that age might influence the enjoyment.
Did you see how it might influence sociopaths, though?

Ana, I think Catcher is definitely one of those books that you need to read when you are young to feel it's full effect. I didn't find it that terrific as a middle aged woman, but as a teen or early twenty something it would have been much more of an impact. It's about the angst of being young and a bit rudderless. You can't feel quite that way again as you get older.

They say size doesn't matter, but you as far as looks goes you always look better with a big book in your hands than a small one.
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has read anything by Ania Ahlborn? I have to admit I feel tempted to buy one of her books, especially the latest one, Brother. Unfortunately my request got denied by Netgalley :(

I have been thinking about the ones I would like to purchase and at the top of the list is The Catcher in the Rye. I have heard it is a classic that influenced several sociopaths, which left me very intrigued. Has anyone read it?
Which books are you most tempted to buy right now?
