What do you do when you are suddenly transported from twenty-first century England into a world of strange magic where everyone seems to be trying to kill you?

That’s the question that faces Michael – an orphan who had been abandoned with a young couple while a baby, and largely ignored after his “adoptive mother” died. When a powerful dream sets off a series of events that inexplicably draws him into the land of Aylosia, Michael finally believes he is arriving in a place where he will feel his mother’s love, but magical and political forces quickly seek his destruction.

Started reading this today. Just finished the first two chapters and i'm very intrigued at the moment and can't wait to find out what all this is building up to. I also like the writing style. (view spoiler)[the only thing i'm a bit confused by is the mc's relationship with the homeless people. It just seems a bit out there to me, but maybe there is some explanation later on(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, I have about 30% left but i'm still struggling with it a bit.

chapter four : (view spoiler)[ his reaction to falling through some kind of portal and into some strange new place, stark naked was a little too laid back for me to believe. "Oh i just entered another universe and i'm naked but oh my that sun feels nice on my skin!" And why was the girl so confused about his name? She introduced herself as "Aneh" after he introduced himself as "Michael". I would think she would be able to infer that's his name.(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]
