I'm so glad this is our next read! I've already ordered it, so it should arrive by the end of next week.
Excellent, Lina and Sabina! I'm already on page 20-something myself. I checked the goodreads page and wow, I can't believe it has so many good ratings and reviews!!!
So cool that my suggestion got picked! I own the book so I'm going to start it sometime this week :)
Yay thanks for your suggestion Julia :D I've been dying to start the novel and now I finally have a valid chance to :) Has anyone read the book before?
My copy arrived yesterday, I'm so excited to start it! I'll do so as soon as I finish my current read.
Yay it's October! Which page are you guys on the book? I'm still on page 70 but it's awesome so far.
Yes I totally agree! And did anyone see the movie? I was so bummed that I watched the movie while I was still less than halfway through the book :( But the movie was fantastic, I'm still looking forward to continuing the book though!
Ayunda, I also saw it before I read the book! I had about 90 pages left, I was really bummed about that. But the movie was fantastic, I was on the edge of my seat the last 30 minutes! I'm hoping I finish it today. Also, the actors' performances were great!
I know, right? I was so sad that I was only on page 100 when I read the book. And yes, I agree, the actors were amazing and during the movie you never get bored, it's like you're transported into the story and to Mars ;)
All of the copies at my library/s are out and I'm along way down in the queue for it, which sucks! But apparently the NASA discovery a week or two ago made this book/movie scientifically inaccurate. (Great timing there!)
Well, it's okay Jian, maybe you can catch up soon... Also yes I heard about the discovery, it's such a weird timing! But I guess it kind of adds more publicity for the movie??
Jian, if you don't mind non legal version, I know where you can get a epub version of the book.
I finished the book yesterday, it was great! The characters were great, and I loved the switching POVs, especially Mark's first person one! It was really funny and overall a refreshing read.
I so agree about how refreshing it was! And Mark is hilarious! What do you guys think about the other characters, though? I thought none of the side characters were very memorable for me... Except maybe Rich Purnell hahahaha!
Man you all read fast! I haven't had any time to start the book, I've been so busy studying for a test in AP world history. I'll try and start it this weekend, I have a three day weekend.
I just started it and i love it! I actually can't wait for the movie bc i can see Matt Damon playing him perfectly like i can hear him saying the same thing Mark is! Can u guys in vision Matt as Mark?
