Year of Cosmere discussion

Hello everyone and welcome to our October read of The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson.

As your host for this month, I'm going to guide us through the discussion of the book. At the start of October (hopefully on the first, maybe on the weekend depending on my workload next week) I'll put up the discussion threads for the different parts of the book.
With "only" a little over 300 pages, I think 3 parts will be the way to go.

I hope that despite October being the month for horror stories we'll have a lot of fun with our return to the world of Mistborn. :)

Anyone re-reading this before The Lost Metal comes out? I don't think I'm going to but I do have the urge to re-read the original Mistborn trilogy.

I have to read the original Mistborn trilogy also (for the first time).
