Juanita (juanitav) | 743 comments Opening this thread for those of you wanting to check in. (I have no progress to report. *sigh*)

message 2: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (kiik) | 158 comments I've almost caught up! This week I completed Clockwork Princess (trilogy) and Queen Song (A Red Queen novella) (a book set in the future). I don't like reading novellas for the challenge, because I feel like I'm cheating, but I suppose I've read enough long books to make up for it. :)

Ray Jordan (rjordan1041) Just started "Defending Jacob" Saturday for my book you've started but haven't finished prompt.

message 4: by Megan (new)

Megan (mghrt06) | 546 comments I read two books last week but I can't use either one for prompts so I'm still holding strong at ten prompts remaining.

message 5: by Kaci (new)

Kaci | 67 comments No progress this week. I'm reading the Princess Bride and loving it though. And I have a 20 hour plane ride coming up so as long as my toddler sleeps I should make some great progress in the next couple of days! I'm still holding out to finish on time but it's not looking good.

Tara Bates | 1005 comments In new here, just found this group. As of tonight I've finished a book set at Christmas, number 42 for me!

message 7: by Nicole (new)

Nicole I finished book #36 Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen. It was a decent book. I am enjoying her writing. She is an author I was introduced to by this challenge. I used this book as a Popular Authors First Book prompt.

message 8: by Sara (new)

Sara I recently finished What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty and An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon (which was a reread, but first time listening to the audio version).

Neither meets my remaining prompts, but that's ok because I just love reading!

Currently I am working on Where the Cherry Tree Grew: The Story of Ferry Farm, George Washington's Boyhood Home for my book that takes place in my hometown. I am also reading The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton (which also does not fill a prompt for me, but I love Kate Morton and haven't read this book yet!)

I need to buckle down and read the books for my remaining prompts! This year will be over before I know it! :)

Tara Bates | 1005 comments A lot of my friends and family are impressed by my progress but I am impressed by those of you who are reading outside the challenge!! Lol I've taken a full evening with note cards and lists rearranging them so I could fit everything I read into it.
