I don't like books it movies that are too scary. This is more paranormal type scary so it should be okay. Plus it us partially a spoof on Ikea, which I love that store. I've been eyeing this book since my library first got it and now is the perfect chance to read it.

I loved the layout and design of the book, similar to an Ikea catalog. The featured item at the beginning if each chalet started normal but became creepier as the story progressed. One of the characters, Basil was annoying spewing corporate propoganda but redeemed himself a little bit in the end. Overall I liked it and it became pretty scary towards the end. I would recommend it for fans of paranormal or psychologically scary books. I don't think I can every look at Ikea the same ever again, though without thinking about what may be lurking underneath the building or behind the fake walls.
