2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

The 2016 Reading Challenge will continue the concept of this year's challenge, with 52 weekly topics. Users then choose a book fitting each topic in order to complete the challenge.

Rules:
- One suggestion per poll per user
- If you suggested a topic for the 9th mini-poll, please wait 2 days before suggesting a topic for this poll.
- Suggestions for each poll will be open for one week (or until 20 suggestions are received) and then opened up for voting.

Now that we are nearing the end of the list, it's becoming more important to consider past selections. Please take a look at the current list before suggesting/voting.

I am not prohibiting these suggestions since that is the purpose of expressing opinions through voting. But now's the time to really be creative, as it becomes more and more challenging to come up with unique ideas.

Can we add autobiography to the biography memoir?

A book about a major world event (fiction or non-fiction)

Sure, Charity. I would consider an autobiography a memoir, but we could add it in the listing to be more clear.

A book recommended by someone you look up to.

This could be a parent, a teacher, an author, celebrity or other prominent figure.

a family saga.

A book that takes place during a holiday. Examples Christmas, Halloween, Ramadan etc. readers choice of holiday.

a book written by an author of your nationality

reread a book that has a special meaning to you (p.e. the book that got you into reading, a book you got for your Birthday, a book that inspired you, a book your mother gave to you, ...)

A book where the protagonist has the same name as someone you know well.

A book set during world war II

A book from a genre that you don't usually read.
