What are your initial thoughts? So far, I'm enjoying reading Don's narrative. I find Don's quirks comical and can't help but compare him to Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory.
I'm only at the beginning of chapter 4 but so far I really like hearing how Don views his world. As a person who dates, I also find his potential partner criteria hilarious! I hope no one is calculating my BMI!
I really like how Don is growing as a person. Getting out of his routine, enjoying life, and the company of Rosie.
I haven't had a chance to read lately... I have to find time so I can catch upApparently, Jennifer Lawrence and the director, Richard Linklater, have dropped out of the movie adaption of The Rosie Project. Read the article here.
I think it's fun when your reading books to think of which actors should play the characters. I can't put my finger on it yet. Maybe Robert Downey Jr. for Don?
I can't stop picturing Jennifer Lawrence as Rosie! Sometimes I see Rachel McAdams...Speaking of movies.. Don watches a number of movies to try to learn about romance, including When Harry Met Sally, The Bridges of Madison County, An Affair to Remember, and Hitch. What are your top five romantic movies?
My top five are Fifty First Dates, The Holiday, Sleepless in Seattle, Notting Hill, and You've Got Mail.
Oh I love When Harry Met Sally! I know Rosie is described as having red hair but I've been picturing Zooey Deschanel the entire book...almost done...
I finished also. While I did like the book I wasn't thrilled with the ending immediately. After thinking about it though I like who turned out to be her dad. It was an interesting twist. I'd go see the film!
I'm done!I liked it! I thought it was interesting how Don analyzed himself and his actions and seemingly diagnosed himself with Aspergers. I can see how some people would argue that a person with Aspergers could not simply modify some behaviors for a girl.. But I like to think it was because he was in love. Perhaps that would not happen in the real world, but it makes for a good book and hopefully a good movie!
