Kayla Read (k_laread) | 21 comments Hello everyone!

This group aims to share ideas, thoughts, and feelings between three women who bonded through their love of reading. I hope more people will join, and they're welcomed and encouraged too, so that booklovers everywhere can unite!

I am one of these three women.

My name is Kayla Read. The book that changed my life and started my love of literature is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Since then, nothing could stop me from reading!

I read for pleasure - normally fantasy, YA, and historical romance, while dabbling in manga. My top 5 books/series is as follows (in no particular order): The Alera Codex, His Dark Materials, Oran Trilogy, Daughter of Hounds, and the Raven Cycle.

The cat I belong too is named Macbeth. I cherish and love him, especially when he yells at me for food every day. That cat that belongs to no one but loves me anyways is Tesla.

Their royal names are: Macbeth, Thane of Undercouch and Upperfridge and Nicola Tesla Von Claw.

Tina | 48 comments Hi Kayla.
I like to read cozy mysteries, thrillers, theology and dystopian. Those are my top favorites..oh and steampunk.

Nice to meet all of you.

Kristen | 14 comments I have been looking at cozy mysteries recently! I read an Amelia Peabody book which some classify under that genre but find that I might be too impatient for mysteries to be solved. Steampunk is an all time fave of mine as well.

Kayla Read (k_laread) | 21 comments I've decided to volunteer with Ottawa Network for Education, which I've had the pleasure of working with earlier this year during the #Bring On Breakfast campaign. Now, I'm singling out a specific ONFE program: OttawaReads. Once a week, I will sit with children between kindergarten to grade 3 and read with them! This is a cause I can get behind and if I remember correctly, I also volunteered to do this when I was in grade 6. I want to inspire others to read and this is the exact opportunity to follow this dream. Wish me luck!
