Ash walked into the dining room with him, wanting to break the awkward silence that had come between them. Somehow, just the feeling of his hand on her head had sent her heart racing. “So... Do you know what they have today?” She asked, craning her neck to try and see what was up at the crowded table.
"It's pretty much anything. They didn't want anyone to be confined with their diet choices." He laughed at himself. "See even I sound smart."
Ash’s eyebrows raised a bit as she walked over to the table with Mason, though he smiled at his comment. “Yeah, I never thought you weren’t smart.” She said and grabbed a plate. Though what she would really need after this was to go to the feeding room.
"You don't have to stay here you know." He said calmly. "I mean I can understand if you want to feed." He explained.
((I'm going to bed ill post when I get up :) ))
Ash shook her head, “No, it’s fine. I like having company.” She said with a smile as she started to put a few things on her plate.
He smiled back as he filled his plate. Because of his high matablism he needed to eat more. Once done he picked a table by him self and waited for ash.
Ash had a bit less on her plate than him as she sat down next to him. There was still a bit of an awkward silence hanging between them. Though she didn’t know if she wanted to be the one to break it this time.
"So where were you before here?" He asked trying to start a conversation with her.
Ash looked up at him after she’d started eating, making sure not to talk with a mouthful of food. “St. Basil’s. You know, the Academy in Russia.” She told him as she continued eating. It was a school a lot like St. Vladimir’s, but just in Russia.
"Hmm." He gulped at his food and then set his fork down, "Do you know any Russian then?" He asked curious, he never heard anyone speak Russian before.
Ash grinned a little, finishing her food by now as she wiped her mouth with a napkin. “Of course, I wouldn’t be able to go if I didn’t.” She admitted, shrugging.
Mason still was picking at his food. "Then show me, oh brilliant one." He teased at her. He was almost done with his food.
Ash grinned at him and rolled her eyes, “Fine... Hm... Okay. Я думаю, ты симпатичный.” She said, blushing a little, hoping he wouldn’t ask what she’d said.
"Why so blushy? Are you saying dirty things in Russian." He joked and said it in a some what authoritative tone.
Ash’s eyes widened, “God no, who do you take me for?” She grinned, giggling a little as she looked up at him. Even more of a blush came across her cheeks as she looked down, looking at her hands.
"I take you as a girl who is really smart and can speak Russian. Also I can't speak Russian so it could be anything." He smiled and shrugged.
Ash looked up at him, deciding to lie to him. She couldn’t just tell him that she’d said she thought he was cute... He’d think she was a weirdo. “I said you’re a good guide. I like touring the school with you.”
"I'm sure you do." He laughed and pushed his tray back. "So more touring or shall we just sit and chat like girls." He smiled and batted her eyes.
Ash grinned at him, “It doesn’t matter to me, either one sounds fun. But I really think I wanna finish touring the place. Or else you’ll have a lost red-head on your hands. Nobody wants that.” She said with a grin.
"Of think we'd find you pretty quickly." He smiled at her kindly,"You're hard to miss." He picked up his tray and then hers. He sat up out of his seat to go dump them in a trash can not far. He didn't want to be around her, to see her reaction, if he over stepped any bounds.
Ash watched him go, grinning at his answer. She never really thought she was hard to miss. But when it came to Mason, any compliment felt ten times as meaningful as it would coming from anybody else. She had no idea why, but she tried not to make it obvious.
When Mason dumped the trays he came back and held out a hand for Ash, "Lets go princess." He smiled. E knew how the monarchy worked with the royal Moroi but, she really is a princess in a way.
Ash grinned at him, “You don’t have to call me princess.” She said, having never really liked it when people called her princess. She knew she was actually a princess, but she just hated how it made her feel to be called one. It just wasn’t a good feeling.
"Well I do, it would be putting your beauty to shame if I didn't call you that." He winked at her and placed her hand in his, not waiting for permission. "I won't bite, I'm the one who should be nervous."
Ash blushed a little, looking down as she had never really flirted much before. So she didn’t try to flirt back, thinking she’d say something very stupid. “Oh... Speaking of bite, can you show me where the feeding rooms are? Then we can continue the tour.” She said with a small smile as she held onto his hand.
