Mason walked with her to his room. He opened the door for her and let her walk in first. "It's a little big for my taste but it's home." He smiled.
Ash smiled back at him before she went over to a wall and leaned on it, “It’s nice, I like it.” She replied and looked over at him. Her dorm room was just a bit bigger, and decorated a bit differently. Though not with many things, since she’d only gotten there a few hours ago.
Mason walked into his room and restead his keys in the table. He put his papers next to it as said,"I have something you might want to see." He smiled and went over to his computer. He went trough his pictures and showed her a picture of Rose, Lisa, Eddie, and him sitting at their lunch table.
Ash walked over to his computer and leaned down to see the screen. Her eyes traveled over the people, only recognising one of them. Lissa... She looked so different from the little girl Ash could remember. A smile lit up her face, “Thanks for showing me this, I didn’t really know what to expect when I see her for the first time in years... But I have a question. How does she already have a guardian?” She asked, tilting her head to the side as she thought of the girl who’d been mentioned before. Rose, who seemed to always be around Lissa, or at least they’d said that.
He moved his mouse and showed her a picture of him and Rose. "Well you see, you mother and father always wanted her to be Lisa's guardian. They didn't want anyone else to guard there little Lisa. She's not even her guardian yet. They left school before she completed her training. " Mason explained. In the picture Rose was looking down at him as he sat on the floor, laughing looking up at her.
Ash nodded her head in understanding before she stood up straight. A smile made it’s way onto her lips. “You like her, don’t you?” She asked with a mischievous grin. The girl could tell by the look in his eyes in the photo. They were lit with happiness and adoration. Though she couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed. She’d already started to grow fond of Mason...
"Welll... I mean yes I do like her, but she never see me as more than friends. It's just the way Rose is." He shrugged and then leaned forward to log out of his computer.
Ash’s smile softened, “Well... One day you’ll find a girl out there who likes you as more than a friend, trust me.” She said, giving him a reassuring look. A part of her wanted to say, And she might be closer than you think. Though she kept her mouth shut.
"Oh you think I'm a lost cause don't you?" He laughed only joking with her. "So do you know anyone else here yet? Or am I the lucky guy?" He said holding his head high.
Ash grinned at his joke, “I guess you’re the lucky guy, I haven’t met anybody just yet. I only just got finished unpacking my things when I went to the library.” She said, still grinning.
"Oh a book smart girl. Most guys like that." He grinned sitting on the edge of his desk. Mason wasn't really smart but he knew the basics of everything.
Ash shrugged, “Not from what I’ve heard.” She said as she thought about all the movies she’d seen and books she’d read when the booksmart girl was never the one the guy went for. This is what made her feel like what Mason had said, a ‘lost cause.’
"Well then I like book smart girls. They seem to know everything and their are to man dumb blondes in the world today." He sighed.
Ash smiled and looked down, “That’s something nice to hear.” She said with a soft look before she remembered what they’d originally planned to do. “Should we be off to lunch now?” She asked with a grin, gesturing to the door.
"I don't know. Your the pretty smart girl, you tell me what to do." He smiled and walked to the door next to her leaning on the frame with his arms crossed.
Ash blushed a little and leaned on the door frame across from him, crossing her own arms. “You’re the one who invited me to lunch with you.” She said with a grin as she looked up at him. “But the compliment is accepted.” She giggled a bit as she looked up at him.
"Oh ya right." He smiled looking down at her. "I did invite you. See smart one." He laughed he reached his hand up to ruffle her hair but it stopped and he let it sit at her side.
Ash watched his hand, a bit more of a blush coming to her cheeks as she stepped out of the doorway and uncrossed her arms. She had her heart racing now, why did just being around him give her this feeling? “C’mon, I’m hungry.” She said and turned around to make a pouty face at him.
Mason gulped and stuttered,"Y-Ya lets go." He didn't look at Ash for a while as they walked. He wondered why his hand stood planted on her head. He just met the girl.
